Jared_mello
HAHA these are great! Great thread! I know the early 2000 Bluecoats had a lot....the jazz song from '02 included "I'll be your daddy tonight," and there was something from '00 about eating babies (:sshh:), but surely someone else remembers them more than I do. Jared_mello
And then this year, everyone started making up lyrics after "join our Caravan.........." in Illinois, and I'm not sure which ones were finalized and made official, haha. bradrick
Ya know, you have bit of a headstart setting your show to song when you're performing selections from musicals! From 87 Sky Ryders - to the tune of "Somewhere" from West Side Story... There's a place for us And it's on Gary's bus (became "Maggie's bus" when I moved to SCV) From 87 Sky Ryders - to the tune of "America" from West Side Story insprired by the corps being stranded in Boulder, Colorado for a week when our busses were impounded. There was more than one version of this one... cuz we had that kinda time! I want to play in the Mambo. But Mr. Lindsey says "NO NO NO!" I'm getting cut from the whole d*amned show. Cuz of the death camp in Boulder, Co. I used to play measure forty four. But I got cut, I don't play there no more. (guard shouts a la 84 Garfield) Bye Bye! stockman365
92 Cavies: "four more notes, four more notes...four - more - notes, four-more-notes...FOUR-MORE-NOTES!!! I guess you are a drum corps freak like me to know that this refers to the snare line at the end of the show. neddy
I think that's:"I march in Phantom 'cause I like fourth place." Just the way I remember it... Elmo Blatch That's the way we sang it too!
raphael18
I always heard: "I march in Phantom 'cause I like straight lines" or the more controversial "I march in Phantom 'causse I liked to get...######/screwed/slotted."
