MikeD
i have been recruited to help a Philly String band...looks like fun! We need pics of Jeff in one of those huge feathered Mummer's costumes! Actually...they do seem to be a lot of fun. Good luck!
JimF-LowBari
i have been recruited to help a Philly String band...looks like fun! Can you say which one? Anyone walking around in those costumes has to be as nuts as us coprs people in parades. :P
MiamiSun76
Do you happen to know Beer Barrel Polka??? Myron Florn was teaching me Lady of Spain, but he was cut down in the prime of his 90s.
DrumCorpsFan27
Pretty cool, really. Be neat if drum corps were to allow WW and a corps came out and had one group switch back and forth during their show....say have a group carry piccolos and switch off for part of a pattriotic number or something. A marching band can already do that. We don't need to destroy an idiom in order to see that.
DrumCorpsFan27
Be great if she had a place in drum corps to play clarinet..IMO. I played clarinet for years. I learned a new instrument in order to march. She can play clarinet in marching band. Why do drum corps have to accommodate to ww players when a similar activity already exists? DrumCorpsFan27
You call yourself a Drum Corps fan? So does that mean your boycott of DCI is over? One thing I will give you Jeff, you are amusing One can be a drum corps fan and not be a DCI fan. Where is it written that being a drum corps fan requires you to be a DCI fan? DrumCorpsFan27
A true drum corps fan will support the activity during the ups and the downs, not just when it's convenient You can support that drum and bugle corps activity without supporting DCI. They are NOT the only show in town.
DrumCorpsFan27
Then you were no longer a drum corps fan; this really isn't complicated What about people who walked away from DCI but still went to DCA, or discovered DCA?
