NR_Ohiobando
(I know this is probably eventually going to turn into a big debate and/or discussion, but I'll ask it anyway) I'm just curious as to who is/isn't using amplification this year. My memory is foggy, but I think it was Glassmen last year that steered clear of them, and I think Phantom did for the beginning of the season. Any list of corps talking/singing/etc would also be appreciated. If someone actually answers my question, feel free to close this up. Thanks
myopinion
I believe that Glassmen and Phantom are both unplugged again this year. Cavies and Bluecoats both had amps at Toledo and both had a little trouble with them starting off their shows.
SkyRyder_FMM
Madison, Colts, and Blue Stars all had amps in Coon Rapids.
JMS0527
The only corps that I know of that's using voice is the Cadets

Iplaytimpani
In Toledo the only group that was un amped as Southwind. But there was no talking or odd things that I noted with mics. I enjoyed the Bluecoats use of mics for the double second steel drums used as well as some of the effects Cavaliers were able to use such as the type writer. The only corps I noticed having mic issues were Bluecoats and it seemed to not be a mic issue so much as a planning on how to get on and off the field and efficiently plug in and all that. madscout96
Wasn't there something about Cavaliers possibly having some amped voice in their show as well? Didn't hear any amped voice last night from them or anyone else. Let's hope it stays that way, their show doesn't need it! THANK GOODNESS no amped voices!!
