kusankusho
Just jumping into this thread and avoiding the earlier - stuff. Please don't let DCA ever be like DCI. Have you read some of those DCI threads lately??????
uncle z
Cabs would be the Cavaliers (just out of tradition) Not just tradition, but also etymology. Caballeros en espanol = horsemen Cavaliers en francais = horsemen :)
CallipygianKing
A little late, but I'll play the game... Chops Inc.'s DCI equivalent would be, I think, Impulse. That's looking at the size and stlye of the corps. That, and we're the only two corps out there that I know of competing in short sleeves. (Random side question: A couple years back, Cesario designed "new" Blue Stars unis with short sleeves, and it was seen as an "innovative" throwback to earlier BS unis. If short sleeves are so "innovative", why aren't Chops and/or Impulse featured in the FJM catalog?)
sburstall
i always wondered like what dca corps is like a dci corps. for example whos the SCV of DCA? or the Brigs of Dci...what do you think? If DCA was like DCI, then I wouldn't be going to any shows.
Rocketman
If DCA were like DCI, I wouldn't have crossed 2,500 miles to go there. (down from soap box) RM - Don't go changin' ampssuck
Roger Grupp
There was a time in the early '70s that I likened the Skyliners to the St. Andrew's Bridgemen. They both had some tunes with amazing multi-tonguing, and they both had some real Nu Yawk-style brashness.
JimF-LowBari
Westshoremen = Blue Devils from 70s-90s 1980s-1990s Westshore has that Jazz feel book some years 1976-1978 we had the figgin' BD uniform. Not a look-a-like but the actual uniform (we bought them used).
