Which corps has the best ballad this year?

This has just been a spectacular year for ballads. Phantom Regiment, Cavaliers, Bluecoats, Blue Devils, Crown, Santa Clara Vanguard, Madison Scouts...just great. The show designers are paying attention and are realizing how crucial this little number is in any show.

I went with Bluecoats. Just beautiful. The baritone solo at the end just seals the deal, that octave jump and crescendo as that upper note soars throughout the entire stadium...unreal. That moment alone will be one of the defining moments of the 2006 season for me.

Of the shows I have heard (which is almost all of the top 12,) Bluecoats have the best, hands down. :)

I REALLY like the Cavaliers ballad. I was walking around humming it after Indy, and I couldn't remember who it was. It stuck, so I went with them. However, there are some other good one. Coats and Phantom's are nice!!
