suitebari
Just good to know that we are scoring in the top ten in Open class. It would be shocking to knock out a corps like The Kilties; so I am glad in a way that we aren't going to DCA this year. More money is cool for the corps, but it would suck to be the corps that gets booted by an A class group. Dream could still do it, so don't count your chickens just cause RCR isn't going to be there this year. The senior corps in California are sticking together more and more. I would just die if there was a merge just for one year to make a mad dash at the East Coasters. Yet we are all doing fine on our own. Game on. CVRoc
CV's score was on DCA sheets by a DCI panel. Thanks.
bill
CV's score was on DCA sheets by a DCI panel.Thanks. Just curious, was it a full panel to cover all the DCA sheet captions and subcaptions? Some DCI shows that use DCA sheets for the "all age" division do not have enough judges to adjudicate the DCA sheets fully. Some shows may be one judge short to evaluate and average the format of the DCA process. Such may be the case at The Kilties home show on July 29th. And of course with DCI-C, up to this point when only one "all age" is competing we have been on DCI Div II/III sheets due to the lack of judges (one I believe) to fully adjudicate the DCA sheets versus the DCI sheets. More money is cool for the corps, but it would suck to be the corps that gets booted by an A class group. Actually, I thought that was the intent of Class A: To bring in more corps as well as enable corps to return to (or join) Open Class. That's why we're all on the same sheets. That's why the rules are set up as they are. This sort of thing is encouraged. Don't think of it as an Open Class corps being booted by a Class A corps... Think of it as an Open Class corps improperly placed in Class A taking their rightful place. Besides, I wouldn't feel bad for the Kilties. I haven't been able to see them this year, but it seems they're really hot this summer. I wouldn't count them out... And if they don't make finals, I'd bet that they go down fighting.
