Sayre Kulp
Actually, by DCA rules RCR would edge the Kilties out of Open Class finals, leaving SoCal Dream to lead the Class A pack. That may be true, but they'd have to come accross the country to do that, so for now...
Just Another Sop
Actually, by DCA rules RCR would edge the Kilties out of Open Class finals, leaving SoCal Dream to lead the Class A pack. I don get it. Can someone explain what rule this is or what the rule says. Thanks from an ignorant one.
Smoothy
The rule is that if two corps do not compete head-to-head on the previous weekend all comparisons are silly. Also even if two corps compete head-to-head on that previous weekend, the scores may not be relevent depending on how the two corps approached that show, who the judges were at that show, and an infinite number of logistic intangibles. It's simple: scores shmores. Let's party!!!
CallipygianKing
I don get it. Can someone explain what rule this is or what the rule says. Thanks from an ignorant one. Hopefully this is in simplest terms: 1) A "Class A" corps is one that declares this class and has 65 or less members. Anyone else that competes in the DCA Prelims is Open Class. 2) Open Class Finalists are the top ten corps, regardless of class. So, conceivably, a Class A corps could end up competing in Open Class finals just because they outscored enough corps. 3) Class A Finalists are the top three remaining corps that had declared themselves to be in that class. You let us speculate and have our fun deluding ourselves with the impression that our comparisons matter, and we'll share our beer. :P
bill
I thought that happened to you guys because they just didn't have any DCA sheets on hand... No. DCI-C has been pretty consistent (to the best of my knowledge) all season, inasmuch when only one "all age" corps is competing at a venue, they are on Div II/III sheets. jth1206kp
Here's the synopsis: They take the last four scores, multiply them so that the most recent carries the most weight, and then add them. So, with scores A, B, C, and D (with A the most recent), they do the followign foumula:(Ax.5) + (Bx.25) + (Cx.15) + (Dx.1) = Weighted Score my head hurts
