somerville
I would like to see someone do music from the movie "Requiem for a Dream" or from any of the soundtracks from Pedro Almodovar movies, examples the soundtrack from "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown"or "All About My Mother". The composer for the Pedro movies is Alberto Iglesias and the music is incredibly cool. I just would be interested in hearing the music on the field though, not a "literal" take on the movies, especially Requiem for a Dream-that would be a nightmare. I could see Cadets, Vanguard or BD or even Phantom doing this music.
oswald
bartok cant step to the greats....mahler owns bartok..... what kind of a statement is that? I mean, honestly, can you even BEGIN to qualify that remark? You might was well proclaim that Hemingway "owns" Steinbeck, too...

Gorgo
Give me a powerful hornline (Scouts, BD, PR, SCV come to mind) and I would LOVE to hear Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral as a closer... Phantom did just that in 1979. They play it for warm ups and encores nowadays, too. Great stuff. :) Yeah, every time I've heard a PR encore, they've done this, and every time I turn into a blubbering mess listening to it - it's just an extremely emotional piece that is played exquisitely by a killer hornline.
