smj02
Here's the deal: Imagine you're a show sponsor for a new show for the 2006 DCI season. DCI has allowed you to choose which corps to perform, with the restrictions described below. You may also choose the venue for the show, and the name of the show. So who would you have perform, and where would it be? The big venue in your hometown? Or do you have a football-sized backyard that would make for a more intimate setting? The guidelines, as set forth by DCI, are the following... Show name: Show venue/location: Show lineup: Choose 2 corps ranked 1-5 at San Antonio (Cavies, BD, PR, Bluecoats, Cadets) Choose 2 corps ranked 6-10 at San Antonio (SCV, Crown, Boston, Blue Knights, Madison) Choose 2 corps ranked 11-15 at San Antonio (Glassmen, Spirit, Colts, Crossmen, Blue Stars) Choose 4 of the remaining corps (Capl Reg, Mandarins, Southwind, Magic, Cascades, Esperanza, Pioneer, Pac Crest) You may also add up to 2 Div II/III corps and one DCI-eligible all age corps, if you so choose. Feel free to explain your choices. Who makes the cut? Who performs the encore? Edited July 24, 2006 by smj02

Wild Nights
WILD NIGHTS UNDER THE LIGHTS The college stadium in my town is the venue. I of course get press-box seating. The show starts at 9:00 so its dark for everyone who performs. :) Lineup: Cap Reg- heard lots of good things but haven't seen the show. Southwind- they've won me over this year- plus they're showing a ton of improvement. Blue Stars- I really like this show, plus with the return to D1 it's a pleasure to be involved. Crossmen- I wanna see Bones!!! Glassmen- yay Classical corps- I've always been a fan of Beethoven. Madison Scouts- Haven't seen this one either, but I hate to pass up Madison. SCV- Havent seen SCV, makes me mad. I love SCV and would kill to have them in my backyard. VANGUARD!! Bluecoats- This is an amazing show. I picked them over The Cavaliers to be in my show, even though it was tough. Phantom Regiment- enough said. My favorite show of the season by far. Encore: America/O Canada performed by SCV and Bluecoats followed by Champions Fanfare performed by Madison and Glassmen. After this there will be an encore performance by Phantom Regiment- they'll play Fire of Eternal Glory, Canon, and Elsa's during the Encore and maybe Amazing Grace.
