with just over a week to go............

The Cadets have been at least three points up on SCV all year long (well, in Great Bend it was only 2.95). I don't know where you get the idea that SCV is less than a point back. I'd be surprised if the spread tonight is anywhere close to that.

Comparing scores from non-headtohead contests... :P

If they get 5th, I wouldn't mind...so long as they surpass the Cadets to do it

from what I saw hed-2-hed in denver couple weeks ago,

SCV has a real show with many, many points left to clean

cadets show is bunk and last year's glammer is wearing off

Vanguard will beat them like a rented mule in madison

I have seen SCV and Cadets at Atlanta...and it is true...SCV is doing great, but the Cadets are just fundamentally better...in marching, in execution, even with intonation...I think the Cadets will remain above SCV...Tonight the Cadets should pass BLOO, hopefully, if not really really really close

So Cadets, who have trailed in msotly execution captions all summer, have no more "points to clean"?

Well, here are the scores as of last night:

01 (01) - 94.05 (5) - The Cavaliers

02 (02) - 93.55 (5) - Blue Devils

03 (03) - 93.20 (1) - Phantom Regiment

04 (04) - 91.45 (5) - Bluecoats

05 (05) - 90.90 (5) - The Cadets

06 (06) - 89.80 (2) - Santa Clara Vanguard

Realizing that the Cadets score is a day older than Vanguard's.

IF...Vanguard can improve in brass & percussion performance, and IF...they can surpass Cadets in colorguard and visual performance, THEN...they could win tonight (...over Cadets, I mean).

Regardless, I'll be cheering for the RED & GREEN! ^OO^

Apparently Cadet's guard is very good so that may be tough, but I think there may be room enough in other areas of the sheets to get past them by finals.

did I studder ? it's pretty simplistic...

there's just not as much left in the cadets "show" to improve ( how much straighter can you carry the ridiculous pink tables while not playing or marching? )

SCV has more points to clean, since they have a real show that was made to challange the members and staff and peak at DCI, rather than an ego-mastrabatory "show" to aggrandize the "designer".
