I haven't been there in a few years, but I remember them redoing the stadium a few years ago, plus it looked in good shape the last time I went. The stadium was renovated a few years ago, but the upper deck was not part of the renovation. As of this year, the upper deck has deteriorated to the point where it has been closed. My understanding is that the Allentown School District has no need or desire to fix or replace it. Unless DCI or someone else ponies up the money to do this, that leaves J Birney Crum too small to handle this event. It would be a shame to leave Allentown - no more visits to Gregory's Steakhouse or Josh Early Candies. :( Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
