They need to be on an item that's removable, like a baldric or cummerbund since they are a nightmare to clean. Such items need to be kept in good repair since there's nothing rattier than glitter that has gone bad.

Sounds like a new MSNBC expose'...

"Join us a 9:00 PM this evening for our latest hard-hitting investigative report....'When Glitter Goes Bad'."

:P

I would be oh-so-thrilled if Cavaliers returned to the sequin stripe down the pants . . . but it was canned for very good reasons.

It's more expensive, but would look MUCH classier & flashier if Phantom's baldric was Swarovski crystal rhinestones instead of sequins.

As long as they're done moderation, they're fine.

I really like a thin strip down the leg. Also, a cummerbund or baldric. Maybe a band on the hat.

The only problem with them being on the hat is that you have to remember to push up the band every time you put it on and sometimes you forget lol.

Better than the mirrors, but they're a pain to sew back on.

I like the way they look on the field but considering I was covered in sequins as a member of Dutch Boys guard I can tell you they scratch the crap out of your skin... Not enjoyable. <**>

The more the better. The Bluecoats Drum Majors from 89 had blue

sequines covering the entire top (except for the white baldric)

And it looked great. I would like to see a corps do that from head to toe...

maybe not do it every year, but I would like to see it just once.

Done right, the visual effect could be stunning.
