Hrothgar15
Edit: Please read the directions. This a contest, not just a "best chords" topic. Simply list your top 10 favorite chords (full-ensemble or not) that have been performed in DCI shows. Just give a corps, year, and time in the finals recording, and piece in which it was played. If you post them in order, the first chord will get 10 points, the second chord listed will get 9, and so on. Alternatively, you can post your favorite chords with no order, and each will receive 5 points. And if you don't feel like finding too many, you can list as many chords as you want up to 10, including just one, or two, etc., and they will receive points just as if you had included 10. Also, you have one "anti-vote" to use against a chord that someone else has already voted for, which will take 3 points away from that chord's total. After enough people post, I will tally the scores and compile a list. So let's get going! 1. Cadets 2000- 1:13-1:15 (Tapestry of Nations) 2. Cadets 1993- 7:36-7:41 (On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss) 3. Blue Devils 1992- 10:50-10:53 (When a Man Loves a Woman) 4. Santa Clara Vanguard 1987- 2:32-2:33 (Russian Christmas Music) 5. Crown 2006- 10:28-10:33 (Urban Dances) 6. Cavaliers 2002- 6:38-6:47 (Harmony) 7. Phantom Regiment 2003- 9:34-9:36 (Canon) 8. Phantom Regiment 1991- 2:04-2:06 (Nessun Dorma) 9. Santa Clara Vanguard 1989- :19-2:21 (Overture) 10. Bluecoats 2006- 8:16-8:24 (La Piovra) I had to leave out so many... Anyway, note that you can only vote for a chord once, and you can use your anti-vote whenever you want, but you only have one. This may take some time going through all your recordings, but there's not deadline, and I think it'll be really great to have a list of the Best. Chords. Ever. So give it a shot. RegimentContra94
I'm a big fan of the three part chord in 96 Regiment where it was layered with the three drill sections coming together.

zachariaswmb
The last chord of the closer impact before the new tempo and the four measure drum break in Phantom's '06 show. Talk about sizzle! Wither that or the last chord of that show.
