oldtimedrummer
1.There new staff are alumni and know what being A MADISON SCOUT MEANS.2.The guard did not have auditions yet so there is a chunk out of the numbers. 3.That doesn't mean the new ones did not march another corps. they could also have talent that know one can explain. 4. Where did you hear this. If its during Marchish I understand why. The new staff looks like a talented bunch, and I'm sure the corps will probably be just fine. However, anytime you have a complete staff turnover, you have the potential for there to be problems. That, coupled with other things I mentioned, raises some concerns in peoples minds. I never disclose my sources. :sshh: but bumping spring training doesn't make sense to me. Madison is a class organization and one of my favorite Corps. I hope they're not too stuck in the past that they fail to look to the future. I wish them nothing but the best. Where did you hear this. If its during Marchish I understand why. Know what? All of that will mean exactly squat when the corps hits the field with a bad visual program, a god awful color guard and a very weak battery (for top 12 standards). The horn line will probably play well, but the program as a whole will be the concern. These days it takes balance of all elements to place in the top 6-7 corps and thats going to hurt the Scouts. Simply being a "Madison Scout" almuni will not change those facts.
