Elmo Blatch
Then of course, there's this one too.
MikeD
I switched between ABC and NBC so I could catch some things twice (NBC's cameras were later than ABC's). Someone please tell me why Billy Bush has a job. I've never seen him on whatever show he must be on, but he was HORRIBLE. Some of the blather coming out of his mouth was absolutely sickening. He is one of the hosts of the gossip shows....Access Hollywood.
darkman
I'm a big Rose Parade fan, I was at the Parade this year for the 1st time, about a mile from the end near the end in grandstand seating. Star War stuff was great, got some pix of that for sure. Some of the bands looked dog tired by the time they got to us & they still had a mile to go... You could those who march corps from those who didn't. Very nice Parade over all...

I did the same. All the commentators were bad but he was the worst, had no idea who he was. Both stations also had lots of audio problems. The canned music for the floats bleeding into the live bands performance etc. The commercials are bad enough but why so much wasted time coming into and going to the commercials? If ABC and NBC don't want to do it right I don't know why they bother. Then they showed a close up of some American Idol wanna be and didn't show the animation of the float. They don't generally tend to blather on as much on HGTV, either, although they did have that one interview with some designer who has a new show and talked over one band's entire time on TV. I know, some year I'll get cable, but right now I have other financial priorities. Since I've never had it I don't really miss it except at special times like this I wish I had it. Orpheus
Anybody see the baton twirler being pushed in the wheel chair? Looked like she had a cast on her foot. It looked like she was carrying a clarinet to. If I remember correctly, I believe the commentators on HGTV mentioned something to the effect that she had broken her foot after arriving in California but was determined not to miss the parade. - :D - Good for her. t-mac
Just out of curiosity, did the Michigan band maintain that tempo throughout the entire parade? They were flyin'!!! And High Steppin' too! (althought I hate that Big 10 style of marching)

Looked like they were using a lot of fuel near the beginning. I rememeber going to see the floats after the parade a few years ago...after 7+ miles of bouncing around, some of them looked prtty ratty -- holes, missing parts, patched of flowers gone -- can't imagine what they must've looked like after the monsoon LAST year!
