Slow Adam
To everyone who voted to cut the guard...I hope you have fun topping out at 90! (Guard is 10 points) Fixed. The guard caption itself is only worth 10 points, but they do have some say in GE Visual and Ensemble Visual. Heh, better than before when the guard was scored but it didn't count for anything...when did the guard score get included into the total? 2000? Jazzycat1
If you were the director/program coordinator for a corps, where would you put the additional 15 members?Gaurd? Brass? Percussion? Oh, I know that, I'm just figuring that they probably have say over another 10 points in those Visual Captions. Those silly motions that the hornlines do that put people in the way of my equipment have to contribute SOMEWHERE.
saxmanjames7
i dont see any reason to add so many contras to your hornlines. everybody on this thread is asking for sixteen, some even twenty contras. understand that tuning would be an absolute mess, and that added dissonance would bring the volume down. also know that you dont need to have that many tubas (yes ill say tubas because they are Bb tubas) to balance a hornline. BD does fine balancing a 70 member line with 10.
zachariaswmb
And Phantom does fine with 14. Some like to see top-heavy corps, and some like bottom-heavy ones. It's all a matter of personal preference. Who knows? It could just work...
