Your favorite drum corps that you didnt march in

I answered 27th Lancers, based on my other favorite corps when I was in the Cadets. After that, from the 80's onward...Phantom Regiment.

I'm gonna have to go with SCV. Atleast I would still get to wear an Aussie. Its the only headgear for me.

Is that the overall impression of most Madison Alum? My high school drumline instructors, Dave and Todd Herrick both marched Scouts and LOVED SCV. I mean Loved them. I think they were goo goo over a few of the girls in SCVs guard. This would have been late 70s to mid 80s when they marched.

I would say that at least through the late 90's that was also the case, with many of us anyway.

In 1998 when we were on our California vacation, I mean tour, we spent a great deal of time with SCV and when we saw them from the back of the stadium at their home show, we were just flipping out.

I also remember catching them from the end zone in 1997 with a bunch of other Scouts and just eating up their performance.

I have a tie between SCV and VK on this one.
