GMichael1230
So far, this is the toughest round, for many reasons. At first I was going to say 87 Scouts, but that wouldnt be fair so they cant be included at all. Then I was going to say 83 Suncoast Sound, by far the best brass of the 6th place finishers and outstanding visual program, but "awful" guard, so they are out. Then, I was going to pick 91 Cadets, but way too controversial, and too much downtime in the "picnic" segment. Of course, 1988 Phantom Rgiment could be chosen, solid in all areas, stunning guard, beautiful , lush arrangements and a first rate visual program, but, in my heart, based on the trials and tribulations of their season, and their end product, and their outstanding repetoire, GE, and rifle line, without a doubt the vote goes to: 1982 27th Lancers, without a doubt. The little corps that could,s tarting off ever so slowly, like 6 pts away from Defenders, behind Bridgemen, Crossmen, Cavaliers, and Freelancers, and motoring the last week with a product that was on fire, this goes to you, Two-Seven !! ~G~ HM: 1999 Madison Scouts, performance, performance, performance

silvertrombone
Tough pick when, like, your favorite show of all time is a 6th, huh? Didn't see 99. 96? Only saw it in Dallas. 92 Xmen ???-Should there be a one-only rule for multiple corps performances being represented? Like the guy said, 3 great corps will be excluded. Would be kind of weird if BD were one.

Tez
I'm pretty sure that last year when this was done, of the 12 corps that were voted best of their placement.... not one was Blue Devils, Cadets or Cavaliers. Actually I found the results from last year: 1st----1991 Star of Indiana 2nd--- 1987 Santa Clara Vanguard 3rd----1993 Phantom Regiment 4th----1995 Madison Scouts 5th----1997 Madison Scouts 6th----1985 Suncoast Sound 7th----1992 Santa Clara Vanguard 8th----1992 Phantom Regiment 9th----1995 Colts 10th---1992 Velvet Knights 11th---1991 Bluecoats 12th---1987 Skyriders
