DonPRBari
So many great shows . . . but I have to go with '03 Regiment. I was at Finals in '95, and yes, the Scouts were great – but for some reason it didn't connect with me as much as some other Scouts shows. For example, Scouts '84, '97, and '99 are three of my favorite shows of all time!
dccorpsfan
In the closet round of them all, the '97 Madison Scouts came from 4 votes down to take the lead and upset the '05 Bluecoats for 5th best of all time! Makes you wonder what this next poll will be like. Take a look at some of the shows in this poll....What was the best 4th place show of all time? (Poll will run for 24 hours or if I deem the round to be a blowout) **Make honorable mentions if you must, but posts with more than one vote will not count** 4th Place Finishers ----------------------------- 1972 - 27th Lancers 1973 - Madison Scouts 1974 - Muchachos 1975 - 27th Lancers 1976 - Phantom Regiment 1977 - 27th Lancers 1978 - Madison Scouts 1979 - Spirit of Atlanta 1980 - Spirit of Atlanta 1981 - 27th Lancers 1982 - Phantom Regiment 1983 - Phantom Regiment 1984 - Phantom Regiment 1985 - Madison Scouts 1986 - Garfield Cadets 1987 - Blue Devils 1988 - Garfield Cadets 1989 - Blue Devils 1990a - Blue Devils 1990b - Phantom Regiment 1991 - Santa Clara Vanguard 1992 - Blue Devils 1993 - Blue Devils 1994 - The Cavaliers 1995 - Madison Scouts 1996 - The Cavaliers 1997 - Phantom Regiment 1998 - The Cavaliers 1999 - The Cadets 2000 - Santa Clara Vanguard 2001 - Santa Clara Vanguard 2002 - Santa Clara Vanguard 2003 - Phantom Regiment 2004 - The Cadets 2005 - Blue Devils 2006 - Bluecoats Man, this is a tough one. 4 of my favorite shows are 4th place shows -27th Lancers 1975 (One of their best shows of the DCI era. If it weren't for the very stiff competition they met, this could have been a championship show, or at least a silver medal show) -Blue Devils 1992 (Sheer heat, not to mention a great rep. I still like this one better than Indiana's and Bergen County's) -1995 Madison Scouts (Speaks for itself. You may laugh, but I think this was a championship show. Every note the soprano's played in that show were miles away from the staff. The crowd response afterwards speaks volumes more than any one can say) -2003 Phantom Regiment (An emotional program from start to finish. Classic Phantom. This was the show that really got me into PR. After that show, they really made Cannon in D their own) I love them all equally, so I'm going to say '75 Lancers since they haven't had a lot of votes in the other polls, though I have a feeling most won't share my opinion.
