Will Crown add the narration back into their show?

Recommended Posts

Crown has the purest hornline i've heard so far this year

What does that mean? Are they all virgins or something?

Do you know what Crown's narration was comprised of?

Yeah, I didn't mind it. Twas a lot better than "In high school, I never felt like I fit in." /cry

You're allowed. Just like I'm allowed to disagree with you and agree with him.

True.

Sweet. Do you know what the words were? "And they're off!"...stuff like that? I guess I'd be OK with it if was not too obtuse and blended nicely and was very subtle, but still, the principle of having a glorious, pure, brass-and-percussion-only show means so much to me.

I completely agree! I think that narration is a crutch and is unnecessary in drum corps.

My statement about the "odd logic" was directed to Hrothgar, who said he loved Crown's show last night - but that if they added narration later in the season, he suddenly wouldn't like last night's show. Doesn't that seem odd?

I don't care for narration, but for me personally, it will depend on if it's a Cadets' sized portion or just a smattering here and there that's as least intrusive and distracting as possible. My preference is for zero talking/singing into mics, but I can live with it as long as it's not distracting me from what's happening on the field.
