So...I wasted more money on dvd/blurays? I was livid when I got my 2008 dvds and phantom was missing a part of their show.

I can think of a couple... -The last few notes in Carolina Crown 2009 are taken from their 2006 show In.Trance.It -Cavaliers 2011 - The word XtraordinarY being subtly spelled out in the closer drill. -The drill at the end of SCV 1999 is the same drill that is used earlier in the show but evolves into a wedge at the last second -Cavaliers 2010 - Little parts in the drill in the closer are borrowed from years past (For instance the two blocks running into each other is a reference to Frameworks) -Phantom Regiment 2010 is a show that slowly moves from the back right corner, to the top left. It always points in that direction, a couple times the drill wants to stray from that path but it is ultimately about the inevitability of life eventually coming to an end. All life starts and ends. The ultimate visual metaphor IMO.

I'm more interested to see exactly a year ago, what the predictions for THIS YEAR were. Anyone have the patience to look up that thread from a year ago?

I'd really like some information on when exactly the Blu-rays are being shipped. I still haven't gotten mine. I bought mine off the FN, would that really make that much of a difference?

1) 2008- Samurai is the best cavaliers show ever (imo) as far as the complete package of design, yes, it is the best. Best design in guard, drill, music, its phenomenal. 2) 2002- Frameworks - The closest thing to perfection in drum corps. My first drum corps show I ever saw. 3) 2003- I love the music and the rewind at the end. Just a fantastic show. 4) 2006- Its Machine! How can you not love it! 5) 2010- This one will probably end up higher in a couple years. 6) 2004 7) 2000 8) 2001 9) 2009 10) 2005 11) 2007 Is it me, or was this the Cavaliers' best decade?

Makes me wonder what these judges think. If this was pre-2007 we would be able to know. Ever since 2008, judge audio is not included on the dvds.

How about a show called "The Ecstasy of Gold", and it can be about either a) the gold rush, b) the western movie genre 1. It implies they're after the gold medal 2. They can keep those glorious gold horns 3. It gives them an excuse to play "The Ecstasy of Gold" by Ennio Morricone. Can't you just imagine how gorgeous that would be? ... Or not...Its just an idea

These videos are straight from the truck, and also notice that multicam is not available. When the DVDs/BRDs come out, we'll probably have an appropriately edited ending to the show. I'm just happy that those people were there to help him and I wish him a speedy recovery, just from watching the video you can see his determination. Also, I missed the semifinals webcast, was the standing O as big as it was for finals?

I can't wait for the finals vids to be up!

If you watch the video on dci.org, they interview a blue devil member who marched 07-10 and asked him what his favorite year was. He said 2008. That just says it all, doesn't it? The year they lost by .025 was his favorite. Congrats BD! Quite an accomplishment and its about time you had 2 undefeated seasons.

The theater I went to (Wilmington, DE) had a bunch of kids under 21. But that is mainly my band director from high school's fault. He's kinda made it tradition now to let his kids go to Big Loud Live every year right after band camp. I don't know about you guys, but I think its awesome.

There should be an option for upgrading to Premium SD and Premium HD on the fan network because those come with dvds/BDs
