  1. I believe this was done by Troopers a few years back, where they had one guy, David Reeves, do the entire "book" (brass and percussion). It didnt turn out well for Troop (nothing against David Reeves. I kind of thought some of the arrangements were good. But what do I know ;-) Any other thoughts of having 1 individual arrange everything?
  2. This is just my $.02...I would say stay at home and save your money. I viewed the San Antonio regional on Fan Network and I was so bored out of my mind. So bored that I will not lose any sleep knowing that was the only DCI show I will see this summer. I dont think I could sit through a live show after what I saw in San Antonio. There is no drum corps moments in any show that I saw. Again, just my opinion.
  3. I bet the Wisconsin State Patrol and DOT are salivating right now. Every year, at the LaCrosse show, they are there to inspect every bus that comes in and out of that show. Now that this has been announced I am sure they are already preparing for inspections. And Wisconsin State Patrol will look for every and anything. Hope corps have repair vehicles standing by and extra money on hand to pay for all the repairs and fines.
  4. The Casper show has moved to Cheyenne as a majority of the schools in Casper are under construction.
  5. Jim Casella is a good example. This is from his website: "His latest broadcast composition projects have included nationwide spots for Cadillac, ABC College Football, Regal Cinemas, and Goodwill Industries, plus several clients in the Portland area. He has scored the original music for a variety of films including the feature film "The Graves" starring Tony Todd (Candyman) and Bill Moseley (The Devil's Rejects) which had its nationwide theatrical release in 2010 as a part of After Dark Films Horrorfest 4 "8 Films to Die For."
  6. So was anyone else there? Unfortunately this thread turned in to a pissing contest instead of some info and more videos on the actual "battles" at PASIC. How fair do you think it was to have a high school line compete against a collegiate line? Would think there would be 2 division. Either way, both lines threw down.
  7. No one is driving the bus since all of their buses are sitting at G-West rusted out and non-operational.
  8. Expect the same announcement to be made at this time next year as this is a 3 year guarantee from these guys.
  9. Crossmen 1997: Colors of Jazz 25 seconds perhaps? Guess it depended on which night. (10:40 mark)
  10. Would anyone else, other than me, consider Surf the new Velvet Knights?
  11. So that is the 2nd NY show with a great ice cream facility? If anyone recalls Hornell, NY and Scoop ice cream shop right down the street. And dont forget Kingston with the Friendly's right next to the stadium.
  12. With all due respect, I 100% disagree. Money is still owed to Champion coach for several years of service. So instead of going back to them, lets try to "run away", tell them the check is in the mail and find another company. Lets ride Phantom's coat tails and try Escot for a summer. Again, the check is in the mail. And now lets switch to yet another company for the summer of 2012. This time, after the season is over, we will pay you for the fuel, but only after the summer is over. Wait, you didnt get the check yet? We sent it out. It should be in the mail. Again, Glassmen need to take a year off, get restructured, and then come back stronger than ever. Just my $.02
