Favorite Ten Endings

Recommended Posts

I'm sure this has been done before but I'm throwing my two cents in.

This is purely your favorite endings (not maybe the best statistically but most entertaining to you) so please don't be a jerk and bask somebodies choices.

Here are mine:

1. Madison '95 (the ending no one who ever saw the show live ever heard because the crowd was going to nuts)

2. Santa Clara '88

3. Madison '88 (completely epic)

4. BD '92

5. Santa Clara '99 (the blocks folding in on themselves, oh so EPIC)

6. Madison '84 (I'm a sucker for old school company fronts)

7. Star '91

8. Madison '82 (Ice Castles...classic)

9. Santa Clara '09 (my favorite moment of the season in which I did not perform)

10. Madison '97 (Corps standing in a line holding an insanely loud chord as the DM waves a pirate flags and takes pictures of the audience)

Honorable mention: Madison '99

Madison 88 & 95... by a million miles out in front of everyone else.

SCV 1982 - phasing but who cares? Bottle Dance. Also SCV '78.

Blue Devils late 70's - say '76 to '80 - with that snare roll - rim shot - beautiful horn build up... awesomeness!

Madison Stars & Stripes reprise... with the big pause before it... can't remember the year... '76?

Phantom killing guys all over the field...

Bridgemen faint.

Great stuff... great memories

Alrighty...not around when some of the great ones happened so here are some of the ones I think are the top ten of more recent times....

1. Crown 09 (at Finals, everyone was going nuts already when they were at the big push at the end)

2. Madison 88 (Ok, not recent but it was Malaguena for Christ's sake, who doesn't like that in drum corps?)

3. Cavaliers 08 (Many people saw that show having a chance, and the ending was pretty sweet and memorable

4. Phantom 08 (Alright, kill the DM...crowd losing their you-know-what...yea, pretty epic)

5. Cadets 2007 (I just like the bass solo. But this also speaks for 07, 08, and 09. HUGE final chord to end the show)

6. Star 91 ('nuff said)

7. Bluecoats 08 (horn feature, Rocky music...and loud. And a boxing match, pretty sweet).

8. Cavs 06 (loved the snare ending the show the same way it started, and the horn and rest of the drumline/guard visuals to go with it)

9. Crossmen 92 (sweetness. loved it.)

10. SCV 09 (memorable)

Honarable Mention- Cap Reg 09 (since I performed it, and it was loud and I'll always remember it.)

Star 91-Truly the hardest drill of its time. Wow

Star 93-There's nothing better than a build to the end and then just handing it to the crowd with that middle finger attitide

Bluecoats 95-The look on the judges face at the end of this show says it all

Cadets 2000-Never fails to bring a smile to my face and make me feel good

Phantom 03-Emotion. Pure emotion. Brought tears to my eyes the first time I saw it

Blue Devils 04-Who knew they would end their show with such a twist on finals night? Boldly done

Bluecoats 05-Energetic and man did it groove too

Cadets 07-They might have talked but man could they march and play. That was truly a championship caliber show

Crown 08-1812+mellos playing simple gifts+long chord. Need I say more

Phantom 08-I think this one speaks for itself
