I guess the tragedy in Waukesha on Sunday should hit deep for all of us. We all marched in a Christmas parade with our High School bands. 40 years ago drum corps were regularly in Christmas parades to. I hope that people are not afraid to march in the streets to entertain the people after this horrible event. Please keep the people of Waukesa in your prayers, or if you do not pray think a good thought for them. Please keep this non political.
At this point in time, it’s more like they are at the audition stage versus “camp”. Camps really get going in January after contracts are offered. And you’ll likely hear very little other than what has been posted here already; way ahead, biggest turnout, show almost done, blah blah blah.
I actually binged literally EVERY iteration of X-Men playing Russian Christmas Music that I could find last night starting with 1982. It took...a while LOL
I'd send that exact message and cc all the corps directors. After all, DCI is the corps. I'm sure, if they care, they'd be interested in how their customer service is going.
Timpani is CORRECT!! They had SIX marching timpani.........they are the only finalist (and corps) that I ever saw
who utilized 6 marching timpani players. There were many with 5, and the standard was 4-5.......Since I do not
have a photo of every corps' timpani section, I have no proof of others, but Racine is the only one that I ever
saw with 6............
