I was gone from DCP for about a month due to travel and logged in today and saw certain words in the first post of the page with the double green underline and green text color, then when i hovered over the word it was a pop-up ad related to that word. it even happened for user names. i didn't see an announcement about this so wanted to ask what's up with it (or if i'm going crazy, haha)

still can't get used to not seeing the red for academy... i remember how excited we were when the jackets first arrived (we did our first show in uni pants and black logo tshirts...) i'd be pleased as punch if they'd do an "academy-red" tie.

actually, you can no longer comment on their facebook page - period. i "liked" the page for a few seconds to ask why they were deleting comments and found i couldn't post anywhere. seriously, WHAT THE ####? you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen. "oh, wahhhh, i don't like being held accountable for what i say, so i'm not going to let people SPEAK to me." really mature. that and the "LOL" at me show me the level of immaturity and petty behavior linked with this organization. incredibly unprofessional.

i noticed. they also turned off commenting if you haven't liked their page. this was after i was told "no, next week, LOL" when questioning the release date of the new partnership. i called them out on the classy (minus CL-) behavior of lol'ing at me and pointed out their information was confusing and had CHANGED since i posted originally, and then asked why the new camp dates weren't released as promised by the "end of this week." I asked at 8:30 pm EST. about 5 comments have since been deleted. sketchy mcsketch.

when FAMU came to Miami for a football game in my time there (2004-2007), about half the band was suspended due to hazing issues. this is absolutely NOTHING new for that band.

and it saved my changes on my laptop as well - here i am on my laptop posting (again, have yet to post from the phone) and it's in the mobile skin.

using the standard browser on a droid incredible.... slow to load, and super small screens - i have to double tap to enlarge them to the point where i can read them, and then scroll around with my finger. oh wait. scrolled way down to the bottom and clicked on the mobile skin and that certainly looks much better. in that case, it didn't automatically load the mobile version when i navigated over to it.

honestly i noticed it most at work - where the adsense displayed as blocking the ad, haha. between the first and second post isn't too bad really - how often do i linger up there in a thread anyway? just curious about the change

So I noticed part of the new DCP is banner ads appearing IN the topics themselves, wedged in there between posts. I know, I know - we need ads. but was it necessary to change their location from the top and bottom of pages? Maybe to increase accidental clicks? not a huge deal.... but a noticed change.

yeah it worked well - there was a carpool from Tucson, and we all were "adopted" by local families. Don't know if they still do it, but back in 2004, there were also 6 hour rehearsals every sunday, in addition to one weekend a month.

phoenix schools... starting august 10th, done may 20th or so. 2 weeks for winter, 1 week for spring. hopefully i don't have a staff meeting thursday so i can get to theaters for quarterfinals!
