  1. I just got back from the Stadium, I thought the Hop was out of line brow beating Acheson after the score was read. I do believe the penalty was just beacause they already entered the field and then left then antered again. Although the bow to the audience was funny. I can see if it was a rain or lightning issue like at Tempe Last Saturday, but lightened Hashmarks on the field is no reason to pull your guys off of the field. And then moan to the Exec Dir after you get a penalty assesed
  2. If you have a regular TV you will need to get an S-Video Cable to hook up your PC to your TV and setup your PC to either clone your desktop or have separate desktops. Then you will need to adjust the video acceleration, lower it on most, on your screen. If you have an HDTV the you can get a HDMI to DVI cable to hook up your pc to you tv like a regular monitor.
  3. Here are some pics I took at the Tempe Show...It was my 1st time with a camera (Canon PowerShot S3IS) so bear with me...for the rest click here : Sorry there are no Colts Pix...it was raining at the time and I did not want to get my new camera wet.
  4. 1000% Agree...As soon as I saw who was judging I was not suprised. Where is the accountability in judging, I am sick of this favoritism, what is this...the 2002 Olympic skating finals?
  5. I wont booo a corps, but I will give the silent treatment, i.e not clap or cheer. That silent treatment will not be because of what the performers are doing, but it's toward the creative team that came up with the show that upsets me in some way
  6. There is a reason why Crown got bested last night...REGIMENT WAS BETTER!!!! I think the trend continues, PR added lots of GE moments, not cheesy moments either and have a very entertaining show. The guard was fantastic and has lots of great work and the new black wing flags are a great addition. I think the only reasons that Regiment did not get closer to Cavies last night was the very slight crack in the duet and the frackliciousness of the opening solo to The Firebird. Along with some individual members not getting in a few forms in the drill. The re-vamped "On Air" has power, emotion, and grace. And it is a better prodict now than it was when we saw them on the Indy and SA webcasts. Regiment - 94.75 Crown - 93.65
  7. You are basing this on what? After what I saw last night, not only are they in the hunt, but they have a show people will remember
  8. I am cooking it now... Wow what a performance...I wish I did not have to wait until Thursday to watch it again. They were on fire last night.
  9. Agreed...from where I was sitting (Sec 8...Row20...seat 1 [ on the 45-ish]) Crown was spectacular...but Regiment just THREW DOWN...my only viewings of Regiment was through the Indy, SA, and Atlanta webcasts, but this night they had so much more energy and emotion. Mind you, the Euph had a crack in the opening of Firebird and the duet was almost right on (just a small mistake), but beyond that they were awesome and deserving of that score. They are not done and are going to be a significant factor come Thurs, fri, and sat next week. Here was my favorite top 5 from Tempe 1) Colts...yes I said Colts...they were on fire 2) PR...most emotion and energy all season 3) Crown...cant get past how powerful that hornline has become 4) Academy...beyond their shortcomings, they have an exciting show 5) Scouts...They had a great performance and are very entertiaining. anotice Cavoes were not in my top 5...not a knock, I am just not sold on that ending, that is what is keeping them away from that top 5 for me in Tempe Kudos to PC, they had a sow that I really enjoyed and they are loud too...very cool. Reminds me a little of 93 Dutch Boy
  10. OK, I just got back from Sun Devil Stadium and yes I can tell objectivly that PR was awesome...a lot of new stuff...the Intro to 1000 Airplanes is absolutely awesome....PR really brought it tonight. Crown has its narration in as it pertains to the "photo finish" and it was very classy. In my opinion the show and the crowd favorite of the night was The Colts....they played 1 min of the show and ran off due to lightning then after a 20-ish minute delay The Colts were absolutely on fire. As for PR...the Opener has more life...the transitions are hot...and Firebird is just a hair short of perfection. I am not takiing away from the Crown Hornline, cause they were on and were awesome...but the scores reflect the shows tonight. Look out Pasadena...its a 5 horse race
  11. It is actually about 103 right now...but its not a humid heat so it is bearable. The time zone here is the same as the Pacific Time zone at this time...its when we "fall back" that AZ is in the MST.
  12. I would like to, and it probably will be proposed again, to have the perc judge in the stands in the 1st part of the season and then on the field for the rest of the season. I'd also like to see that same scenario with the brass judge...if not have a 2nd brass judge in the box like the 2nd perc judge is in the "major" shows. I would also like to see a proposal to "judge the judges" type of system...so that DCI could try to make juding more fair. Every other "sport" has a way to critique what the adjudicators, beit refs, umpires, etc. so that there is no way favoritism can influence the scores. I think that the judging is very cryptic and if they explain why or release a sample sheet to the fans to see what criteria they have to go on. I think that will bring the fans closer to action.
  13. I am very much looking forward to seeing what PR has in store for tomorrow night. If I may use a quote from Yogi Berra..."It aint over til the Fat Lady Sings"

  18. My Wehttp://www.weather.com/weather/map/interactive/USTX0808?from=36hour_map_large&zoom=7&interactiveMapLayer=radarbpage If you zoom in on the map...it looks like the rain is missing TTU but the lightening looks close enough to delay some
  19. It was '96, i think, and we were in some farm town in Illinios (i think) and the battery went tracking down some farm road and when they returned they were all very very sick and one went into seizures. It turns out all of them had a bad reaction to a pesticide that was used got them all sick and there was a panic in our housing site.
