  1. No electricity required. Microphones are extra. http://www.youtube.com/embed/QdoTdG_VNV4?rel=0&iv_load_policy=3%3Cbr%20/%3E&autoplay=0&wmode=transparent
  2. While reading the previous thoughts of others, I was thinking that most DC fans acknowledge most corps because they may look at DC as an art form even though you have to be athletic. Just about every fan knows what the MM's put out during a year. They know it's not the MM's fault if the design is not strong enough. Standing O's have a long tradition. The MM's are not professionals.
  3. Was that the year they were in the NE and flew the major staff folks back West to re-write much of their show?
  4. But you know some will wait until after the first regional. Then the annual slotting thread usually begins in July.
  5. Hopefully, none of us attending Fridays "Spring Fling" for the BAC, will crank up the lap top with major revisions upwards to their predictions. If it comes to fruition in Indy, fantastic, but for now I'll predict Boston will be using two equipment trucks this year and all three 18 wheelers are being wrapped presently. Why not advertise with larger signage? As for the corps, big improvements I'm told in all sections and tougher drill.
  6. Found this information about Paulsen. http://www.soundmachine.org/dci/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5284
  7. Scotty Paulson I believe is/was his name. Try to locate the August 2005 issue of Drum Corps World. My search says there's a story about him in that issue.
  8. Good luck, but I'd guess with all the changes/additions in the next eight weeks, your picks based on some very early videos will change.
  9. Who is already back with the corps with bigger positions planned.
  10. Go up to post #14. Oppps! Make that #31.
  11. Since the OP dropped their IED and ran, maybe a few of the many parents who frequent DCP can chime in with their thoughts.
  12. If I knew what you look like (a very handsome person for sure), I'd have said hi yesterday when I was there from around 11:30AM to just after noontime. Wonder who is doing the talk during History Night tonight?
  13. They have a Quincy parade on Saturday(15th) and one in Charlestown on Sunday(16th). Somehow they magically show up in Akron, OH on the 22nd! Hogwarts train 5972 from track 9 3/4? Hope to meet you all this Friday. Sorry, but Big Bird didn't take this trip East.
  14. From what I was told yesterday, the last 2-3 years pre-shows were very good, but no credit on the sheets, so this year, they want the beginning to be judged.
  15. About 63 brass counted and there were several blanks. How big will this section be this year?
  16. Since endings are part of the show, start with this and keep moving on.
  17. Close to 200 people eat meals with the top corps. Don't forget staff, volunteers, drivers, etc.
  18. I can see it now. China has a D&BC that says they'll take the penalty and marches over 250 members.
  19. Cavies had an off year in 12. They might cut that number in half this year.
  20. At least that's what is posted in yesterdays DCI "corps announcements". Maybe on field conductors are not considered DM's. The reason for this post is that I find that odd this close to their first show.
