  1. Yeah. Our Semi -Finals run was incredible to be a part of. It was the first time that I felt like the show came alive. Could actually feel the drill was on point. Was really awesome. Finals was weird. I could tell when we stepped out on the field. The ground had a little condensation on it. So when we hit the 6 + 6 ( End of "Blowing Off Steam" ) We had people fall. I think other Groups had people fall. But we had the most .lol And all at 1 place.
  2. I went to Richmond this past August and got to drive a race car ( Richard Petty Driving Experience ). I would have to say a big yes. I only did about 16 laps. The corners are extremely rough on you. And I was not even at full speed. I did a ride along at full out and it was not easy on you at all. To do it for 400 laps or miles would wear you out. Not to mention the extreme heat in the cars. But I would do it again in heart beat. So to answer the question. Yes I believe they are athletes!! And go Matt Kenseth!!!!!
  3. Boston Crusaders 1990 Was supposed to march that show too. But could not because I had to stay home that summer for personal reasons. The last year that we played "Conquest" in the show in it's entirity. :)
  4. For me 1. Boston Crusaders / Waldo 2. Cadets Of Bergen County / CB 3. Blue Devils 4. Phantom Regiment / Chevron's 5. Blue Coats / Old Style
  5. The funny thing is we actually had about 4 different endings that year. The beggining of the year we had a very fast ending. That was incredible. We had 2 down endings. And the ending we did Finals night.
  6. I think the biggest problems we had were stress fractures in the feat and shin splints. I had shin splints at "every days". Thankfully we had an awesome personal trainer who helped me out and I did not miss anything. I had a brand new pair of Nike cross trainer sneakers that probobly caused them (Splints) due to the fact that they were worn out in about 3 weeks. :P Also. One of our rifles caught a toss with his face during a rehearsal and knocked out alot of his front teeth. Ouch!!!! He still marched the rest of the season.
  7. I cant for the life of me remember if they flat out won or tied with Star. But '93 BD even to this day is my all time favorite. :mmm:
  8. The old uniforms used to have them. I believe in the 40's. Check it out here. http://theholynamecadets.org/
  9. South Eastern Virginia. Think Virginia Beach!!!! B) Could draw from both Virginia and North Carolina.
  10. I agree. I am not in any position to discuss it either. I just think people should not speculate on why DCI decided to do it or what it was used for. It happened and that is that. The positive is that they will be heading to the west coast and people who never get to see them live get the opportunity to see a great drum corps. Thats a great thing in my opinion!! :)
  11. :) This is a serious question. Did Cadets get the loan? Or did Yea? And if so would it not be safe to assume that it was also used to help Crossmen. As far as I know they are still under the umbrella of Yea!. Not that it really matters. But I would have to believe that if another Corps. needed help and could prove that the loan would be paid off. They would get the help. But I don't know why or what the money was used for. And don't want to encourage an argument from anyone. Its not reallly my buisiness. Just something to think about.
  12. At Boston. I used to love some "Sader Stew"!!!!! At Cadets. We seemed to eat really good so I would have to say all of it. I can only remeber one bad meal. And that was hot dogs and baked beans at "Every Days". And that was only bad cause it was lunch and afterwards the brass staff had us for sectionals. We did a lot of running that day. Not fun. Of course we had more choices. But who can resist a hot dog.
  13. Thank you Bill for being such a great person and for being apart of my age-out year. You and the rest of the staff for the 95 season were unbelievable. You were a special person who was loved by many and will be sorely missed. Thank you for the memories and godspeed my friend.
  14. I think it was 91. I liked that show. If I remeber correctly. They had some traditional field snares at the beginning or end. It was sweet!!!
  15. You can add flooded showers with crawfish swimming in it. We had to take the football teams training tires and make a bridge to the showers(Not Kidding). We did have a chicken processing plant down the street. The smell in the morning was awefull!!! And to top it off. A field that had about a 15 degree slope with 4 inch grass that we had to use. Beacuse the "State Champions" practice field was off limits. It was perfectly flat. And well groomed. Was obviously the only thing the school cared about. ^OO^
  16. lol... Man!!!! I remeber a quite a few sets like that in 95. I remeber my "chicken"and Shako almost getting knocked off a few times.lol.Man I miss that season. Good times!!! :mmm:
  17. I am right ther with you. You are dead on my friend. "For Holy Name, Shall Always Be!!!!"
  18. Come on now. More than on person voted for amps. He is just an easy target for people that have dissagreed with him for years. One person did not change DCI.
  19. " All right guys. In todays visual block we will be concentrating on keeping our legs in the ski-line"
  20. I think thats agreat idea. Sign me up!!!! It would be great to be able to bounce thoughts off of people in the visual design realm. Could make for some fun conversation for sure. Good place to vent where people will understand.
