  1. That's pretty much it. But I don't understand why it took so many pages to understand something that's pretty much commonsense and obvious. The Cavaliers are generally liked by so many because they have cool drill (don't deny it) and because they've been winning a lot People who don't like the Cavaliers generally don't like them because they win alot (Yankee Effect), because their music isn't exactly the most exciting music, and also some other things that add up. I like the Cavaliers and their shows, but I just like them. They're not the types of shows that I'd watch over and over again like SCV, Cadets, or Phantom Regiment. I usually don't care much about scores but in terms of championships. I'm a little annoyed that they're dominating the 2000s. It's like "Alright I get the , you can win a lot of times." Maybe I should yell at the other corps to step up to the plate and take a championship (cough Phantom Regiment and SCV). So generally speaking, I'd prefer to see some other styles/corps win a Championship Gold Medal
  2. I said would rather. It's a general phrasing of it. I believe the two largest corps can have a lot of saying for what I stated: Jersey Surf and The Academy, two almost full corps, I believe each are only missing 5-6 people
  3. 2000 - Phantom Regiment - 7th 2001 - Phantom Regiment - 6th 2002 - Phantom Regiment - 5th 2003 - Phantom Regiment - 4th 2004 - Phantom Regiment - 5th 2005 - Phantom Regiment - 3rd 2006 - Phantom Regiment - 2nd 2000 - Bluecoats - 12th 2001 - Bluecoats - 8th 2002 - Bluecoats - 7th 2003 - Bluecoats - 7th 2004 - Bluecoats - 6th 2005 - Bluecoats - 5th 2006 - Bluecoats - 4th Anyway.... These 7 years are umm... well enough to show that these two corps are going up with quite a bit of consistency. They should be feared by a lot of other corps.
  4. Moving to Division 1 will hurt whoever will decide to move up. Unless they can grab the bull by the horns and pave a way to success immediately. People would rather join a well-faring finalist division 2 corps than a division 1 that end their season in Quarterfinals. Magic is a testament to that. They made finals their first year back on Division 1 but they've progressively fell out of the competition in later years. Slow and Steady Wins the Race, true. But moving up a division, no matter how prepared you are, is a massive change. In sum, you had better kick ### immediately if you want to move up.
  5. Yes yes because a corps' score is completely dependent on a little vocal use...
  6. Most of you fail to realize that numbers mean very little in itself. It's more about the spacing between the numbers. A 15.6 could be a 17.7 in another competition.
  7. Go Phantom Go Phantom Go Phantom KICK ####### ### GO PHANTOM was what I said.
  8. It's 2006 and Amps are here with Bb Horns. This year's finals was a true statement that whatever change happens, amazing shows can still come about. Don't worry about it, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
  9. The tattoos of the cavaliers and tons of cavie adoring shirts will happen every year. As long as they keep doing their visual appeal to the high school band kids, that's mostly how it'll be. 2006's fan favorite is Phantom Regiment in my opinion
  10. My god was Academy Amazing. They won with a crowd pleasing show that is of a top 12 div 1 quality. Good for them!
  11. maybe the amps blew up the stadium and gave a hhuge penalty
  12. I'm surprised no one mentioned that atrocity of the 2005 cavaliers. No offense but they looked like women on the field.
  13. End of Star of Indiana 1990 End of Star of Indiana 1991 End of The Cadets 2000
  14. They're guard boys, they like being skinny.
  15. Animals??? "Breaking news in Pasedena's Rosebowl, 6 Time World Champion Santa Clara Vanguard loses control of 4 Asian Elephants killing 6 judges in the process".
  16. Where were you for the first page of this post and the last 3 years? This is the exact comparison I had in mind to use ages ago, but I'm a blue eyed jew.
  17. it's inflated. you cannot give 19 in any of the captions at that time. you will give the corps no more room to judge or compare scores with once you box them in like 1987 Cadets percussion, 1998 cadets visuals, 2002 cavies, and 2004 Blue Devils brass. that's just bad numbers mangement, this just proves it's not the number so much as the space between the numbers.
