So basically it's ok to not mention his issues since he was in liberal arts then I guess huh? The guy was a wacko and I find it amusing to see those that say honor him and "how dare you" but then say "I wouldn't let him hang out my my kid" That how the agenda of those that would support elitist ideals of being better than others and having no accountability work. While I support music and my kids in music, I actually work in the real world so I will never see that side of the argument...sorry flame away, either way, he's gone and kids are mosty likely safer because of it. BTW, LOVED the thriller show from Ooltewa (spelling) a few years ago at BOA.

wow...not sure exactly how to respond as a parent so I will say this, my son marched three years starting at 14. he came home a much different person. he was more responsible, more respectful and a bit more open than he was before hand. I saw MANY positives in his experience. Did he have some exposure to "bad" things? I'm sure he did, i'm sure he saw language and behavior that I may not agree with but I can only try to instill the qualities and morals in him, I cannot be there every time he is confronted. Back home I expect him to be offered to participate in bad things, thats what peer pressure is but I expect him to make the right decisions because thats what i've taught him at home and I don't think trying to keep him in a bubble is realistic. I'm very proud of him and what he has one over the last three seasons

Maybe we should start a thread saying "why do you love to always find something to be so negative about?" Just a thought for those that don't get out into the light very much where the normal folks live...

And the thread drift has begun...... drinking cool aid? in a cool aid thread...the gall of some people! I love them because they have been great to my son over the last three years and have been a large part of the young man he is becoming (and the show music)

Not a large show but looking forward to seeing scores after the drop from Atlanta

All is calm here too (atlanta ) glad it wasn't worse, the experts say the place is about due, same for the volcano in Seattle

I realize that I am of course biased since I have a son marching but I am loving the new ending with the crown to crown. I just got to see if for the first time tonight on the FN replay since I was supposed to catch Murphreesboro and Atlanta before a hurricane deployment changed plans. The Atlanta show seemed to be a bit dirty visually to me (what do I know? I can't even read music) but I think they can clean up in the next week. Can't wait to see how this ends in Bloomington.
