What's holding PR back? The Phantom Regiment. The same thing that's holding every corps "back," Themselves. Just like every corps, they will clean, get better, and scores will reflect that. There is no conspiracy. Every thing's going to be OK....

Hate to be blunt, but if you asked your "staff friends" about marching technique the same way you asked on here, they may not want to explain every little detail to you.

You're pretty confused on this. My suggestion echos others on this thread. I say contact the staff directly, just make sure not to sound too insulting. Heck, you could even attend a camp or two. I think they do marching at the december camp now. The Cavaliers marching technique is a complicated one, but once you get it down, it just makes the most sense.

How is that odd? Both BD and Cavaliers have beaten the Bluecoats more times then they have been beaten by the Bluecoats.

How is it that a thread about celebrating a new page in Bluecoat history, brings out those who think this is a celebrate the fall of The Cavaliers thread? Why anyone would choose to go about their life celebrating, bitterly, defeat instead of triumph...is beyond me.

The last time the Cavaliers placed 3rd was June 22nd, 2001. Just over six years ago. I'm still a bit skeptic. Coats just jumped from 5th in ranking to 2nd......in Ohio. This is going to be the best finals in a loooong time.

You can't seriously sit in those stands at that show, look around, and say that the aplaus is coming from the "huge bando population." Texas, with it's huge DCI participant base, has alot of ex-members in the stands...i'd say more then bandos. I've also found that most high school kids who follow corps tend to break even among BD, Cavaliers, and Phantom. More and more PR every year as they get closer to a ring. But then again, I just live and teach in Texas....so what do I know about bandos....

Cavaliers. The material they put together on the field every year is so aggressive and technical.

So DCP is made up of "haven't yets" and "just dids". Interesting. I figured we'd have a stronger rep from the 30-40 crowd.

Last I heard, Cavaliers was around 1,200 for dues (but that goes down the more years you march). Camp fees and audition fees have been between 50-75 bucks.

From the couple segments i've seen The Cavaliers, as usual, have the typical demanding visual program. Add to that the more demanding music book and there ya go.
