2. Thanks, Jake. One of our design team's main goals for the 2017 production was to really stretch into some uncharted musical and visual spaces for the corps. So glad you enjoyed! And enjoy the rest of the week - SO MANY amazing shows this year!
3. Let's go Troop! Let's those wild horses run!
4. I suspect this is the big engine underneath all of the other important factors that have been brought up in this thread. But whatever the reason, hooray for drum corps!
5. So many terrific uniform / costume designs in 2015, don't you think?
6. Thanks so much for your interest in the Vanguard Cadets. You can check out this space on our SCV website. On the page, there are a number of tabs you can click to get answers for a lot of your general questions. Please be aware that information was for the current (2015) season. It can be used as a guide for what to expect, but is subject to change for the 2016 season. More information will be posted in September. Wishing you all the best, and thanks again for your interest in the Vanguard Cadets. We hope to see you at auditions! Sincerely, Rob Ripley Program Coordinator

9. "But that's us. We're already fans, and we're not the ones I'm interested in." And that is the crux of the matter.
10. For my .02, one of the most interesting, thoughtful and effective looking updates in the past 10 years. Can't wait to see them on the field.
11. Without a doubt, marching drum corps is one of the most beneficial and enjoyable things I've ever done (and this was more than two decades ago!). My only real advice: 1. Plan ahead financially - work now and put away money for winter camps and summer; and 2. Try out for the corps that makes you stand up and cheer, in whose uniform you imagine yourself performing; and 2. Do it.
12. Are you ready for a fantastic summer? Then consider becoming a member of the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets - TODAY! This season has new horns, new uniforms and takes us all over California and the Midwest. It will also dip into the South for an exciting show in Tennessee and then culminate at World Championships at the University of Indiana in Bloomington! Vanguard Cadets have two unexpected baritone spots available. We're looking for committed folks who have been playing a brass instrument for two years and have one year experience marching in their high school band/or a drum corps to join our outstanding 2008 hornline.
