  1. No; when I log in on another device, the feed on the first just stops. One device only.
  2. 2 years ago my husband and I did a brewery/beer bus tour. There are 2 - 3 companies in Indy that have these tours; it was about $30 per person and took about 3 hours. They drive, you drink. Lots of fun.
  3. As I understand, it is a licensing issue over the music. The music is licensed to perform, and not to sell a video of the performance. So you can purchase the opportunity to watch a performance but not a video of that performance. Maybe they could buy a license that would allow sales of a performance, but the cost would be so high that very few could afford it.
  4. So, my son has marched in two different open class corps in Southern California in the last four years, and they both do the tour that they can afford. I wish he would have had the experience of a national tour that his mom and dad did, but I respect these organizations for making the business decisions they need to to survive. All three years in Impulse, their season ended mid-July as they did shows in Northern and Southern California only. His third year, they added shows in Ogden and Boise. This year, in Gold, they did Southern California shows only and they get on busses on Monday to begin the drive to their next show in Iowa. They are doing the tour that they can afford. It is frustrating to see these corps folding mid season, while they are on the road, because someone should have know better - long before they were on the road - if they could afford what they were doing. IMO, you need an revenue stream of some kind, beyond tour fees, to fund any non profit. Bingo, corps & band shows, band camps - come up with something that brings in money. Open a thrift store. Sell stuff at swap meets. Have a special event like a 5k run, golf tournament or carnival; or all three. Provide volunteers for snack bars at sporting events, or provide volunteers at somebody else's bingo - but find a revenue stream beyond member fees.
  5. There's a mall. With movie theaters and a Nordstrom. There are some interesting restaurants. And, your hotel probably has a pool. Really, that's all my family did last year. Good Luck!
  6. . . . and how many miles did you have to walk through the snow to get to school?
  7. Purple spandex? In a good way I hope!
  8. In 85 we used pennies. You would stack as many pennies as you needed and wrap them with tape; then put as much tape as you needed around the stack so it would wedge itself in the top of the flagpole. If you would normally toss higher than others, you would get more pennies put in your poles. Although, some of the poles had little short pieces of a skinnier pole riveted into the tops. If the rivets were loose, the pole would make noise when you would spin.
  9. It says "Listed in reverse order of performance."
  10. The DCI website has Cavies performing second . . . so they're not going to be on the broadcast? Can anyone confirm this? If it's true, BOGUS!!!
  11. I wore mine on my wedding day. I was still volunteering for Velvet Knights back then; and the board president's son asked me at the reception "You're wearing your DCI ring?" He could see it ALL the way across the church. Pics to come . . . stay tuned.
  12. Maybe . . . buy a ticket for something else & "accidentally" walk into the "wrong" theater?
  13. That was from '85 . . . look in my sig, the pic on the right; that's it.
  14. Usually, personnel matters are private between an employer and an employee. If somebody isn't working for somebody anymore, it's usually anybody's guess as to the reason; i.e., if somebody was pushed or if they jumped. Using the words "let go", to some, could imply a situation other than resignation.
  15. The PR website is saying their winter guard will be inactive: http://www.regiment.org/story.cfm?ID=847 But AS is still listed on their staff: http://www.regiment.org/story.cfm?ID=543
  16. Both years I marched were the same - I was home for three days, then off to band camp for college. Ugh.
