  1. Sandy, I still have Friday night available. Would you be interested?
  2. Update: Semis ticket still available. Interested in volunteering Friday night, so I'd like to sell my ticket to semis. Approx 40 yard line, section 141, row 23. 2 rows down from the walkway where staff walk by to view their show.
  3. Looking for anywhere from 3 to 5 tickets for the SA show next weekend. Preferred premiere section(s), if possible. Would be willing to split. steelpanz@gmail.com
  4. Hoping this rain will taper off. At the volume it's coming down at now, I'm sure it's on the cusp of delaying/cancelling the show.
  5. TV - BD '93 Live - Cadets '94 Had a chance to go watch Star in '93 and turned it down as I was not well versed on what this activity was all about. So I opted to go home instead and play Super Mario 3...or whatever.
  6. 2 tickets to Thursday night in Indy. Section 141, Row 24. Would love to just get face value out of it ($55 per, $110 total), but am taking offers as well. Please holler back if you are interested. Can mail out today or tomorrow. EDIT: If you need the tickets by Tuesday, I'll have to send it via Priority Mail by tomorrow morning. steelpanz@gmail.com
  7. Stay classy, Edmond. Stay classy indeed. :)
  8. @Kdaddy dropped me a line to mention the sparse crowd at this show. I attended it the prior two years and I distinctly recall it being sparse both of those years. I find it puzzling, given Edmond is about a 20 minute drive from the metro Oklahoma City area. Given that I spend about 20 minutes on here a month, is the trend of sparsely attended shows growing this year?
  9. Hoping that's not the showtime crowd in that there instagraph. :) BTW, anyone doing live tweeting/posting from the show?
  10. Agreed; however, I believe this would probably be a clearer queue to applaud if it were done on the field at the end of a show. PS - do it thrice!
  11. Please PM me if you may have 4 together (or possibly 2 pairs) for Friday and Saturday nights. Thanks.
  12. 2 key thoughts: 1) Naffier's book for Crossmen. Nice to hear the '92 tag there. 2) Troopers holding strong to their consistent improvement. Though it's been 2 years since they made finals, their corps' competitive reputation is showing that they will likely not be falling back soon. Sidenote. Really can't wait until the Colts put it all together and find a way to compete for Saturday once again.
  13. The interesting thing about this show is how I watched it before knowing its underlying theme - not really understanding it completely. However, once I heard what it was about, for some reason, it just all clicked. And by quarters/semis, I thought it was very, very well designed/performed. I remember sitting in the theater on Thursday with chills on my arms as they wrapped up their show. It really made me wish I went out of my way to make it up to Indy this year.
  14. Saw it live once, in the theater once and several times online; and I still didn't get it. Michael Boo did a pretty good job trying to explain it on his live blog (which I read for the first time last night). Maybe the show is just too deep for common fans to understand up until the point where you just see the blatant roof arise from the house.
  15. I personally don't mind the domes. I appreciated the air conditioning while watching in San Antonio 4 weeks ago. And I know it was nice to avoid the rain tonight. All in all, the only complaint is just the odd seating angles. But it appeared the crowd was as big as it was when the show first arrived in Indy in '09.
  16. Do corps have policies that cover these members, or is there a chance that they'll need financial assistance?
  17. Do the Colts still have the prestigious honor of holding down the 12th-place spot, more than any other corps in history?
  18. I respect the members' efforts in the Bluecoats show; however, I really had a hard time trying to understand what the design staff was trying to convey to the audience. I did enjoy the closer with the uni jackets off, but just wasn't sure what the entire point was (saw it for the first time Friday night). But all in all, a well executed show.
  19. I agree that the first-year experiment had its highs and lows. We heard one or two corps overwhelm the audience with the use of electronics. Other corps so subtly placed the effect in the show that I hardly had any idea of its presence, yet the accentuation points seemed to draw a greater result. All in all, it sounded like some corps just didn't have the expertise to properly EQ and level the equipment for the most optimal results. But in the end, it still seems like a good idea to me. I'm for it! :)
  20. Hoping someone still may have a few. Heck, we could take 4 and just use the other seat to hold the overpriced nachos. :)
  21. Still looking for a few to each night. Thanks, y'all
  22. Apologies to those who offered earlier, but we have a third person who is now joining us. We're looking for 3 inside the 35s and can either pick them up there or have them mailed. Danke
