I doubt it will. Electronics are one thing, but groups like Crown and Phantom would never try and decrease the volume they produce. (Which is what adding woodwinds would do.) I'm pretty sure a good amount of directors hate the idea of WW in corps being used the entire show. During pre-show, I could care less. It might have an amazing effect.

Band of Brothers is not the corps song for Carolina Crown. It's simply a tradition for the hornline to sing Band of Brothers from time to time, though they do play it with horns as well.

I know it's somewhat unlikely for a new corps to grab a gold their first year out, but seriously... 11th place is basically saying we're dropping.

He was saying that we're not going to move in placement much because we "have to recruit from all over the country". I would think that recruiting from hotbeds would not only be INTELLIGENT, but it would be DUMB to NOT do. Many world class corps have camps in various locations. We were not required to hold satellite camps. I would like to see a legit reason for someone to believe we'd end up in 11th.

It's probably been said already, but Capital Regiment is probably the most recent one. Inactive for '07 and '08. Inactive for '10 too.... :( I hope they come back again someday.

Can I also add that after they recovered, at the next halt, one of the snares near the middle took an extra step and screwed up the entire line's intervals. That MIGHT have had an effect on their score. It took them a while to get refocused.

Well, they were third all of finals week... and they ended up third. I wonder, maybe it was just bad design and bad performance? (By bad, I mean worse than Crown.) Probably. I SERIOUSLY doubt that one person falling cost them a placement.

I don't recall many of the top 6 getting primarily local recruits. Prospects come from EVERYWHERE. (Memphis Sound had a tenor player from Japan) Latter. Not enough local recruits to fill in spots. Also: Talent is more important than how close the people live to you.

The cords might get tangled while they march. I dont have an opinion, as it would work fine either way.

Forte is new. No debt from past seasons, as Forte has never HAD a season.

Simply put, the Colts have a playoff spot. They will have a bye. WHY RISK YOUR STAR PLAYERS? I'm pretty sure that going undefeated for a season isn't the biggest thing in the world when you have a 23 game winning streak. (I wasn't sure how to relate that to corps, so didn't bother to do it :p)

How did you know if you ticked? Agreed, this happened to someone at my high school. I recommend the Invader, or a Xymox if the $60 is pricey.

Not really... Dynasty still has Phantom and Rhythm X. They won't suffer. The only thing I want to know is if RCC will be switching as well, seeing as they are basically composed of the Blue Devils.
