Food for thought: It's basically mid-July, the Cavaliers were four-pointed by Bluecoats last night, who themselves are sitting around 7th place. I'm afraid their season will end with a whimper, not a bang.

Actually a dadaist would see it coming, unfortunately, because it was the exact thing the entire movement was seeking to break away from. So it's really not brilliant at all in concept. The drumline sounds nice!

As much as I dislike BD's concept, one must remember that the show (as far as I understand it, at this early stage in the game) seems to be ABOUT the Dada movement, and is not actually exercising any of the principles of dada itself. I'm not defending them-a show about dada is about as fun as frenching a cinder block. A drum corps show that actually subscribed to some sort of dada aesthetic would probably not score very highly-though it would, at least in my mind, be totally awesome. The Blue Devils are not going to risk that. This show is a snore.

I think what he meant was that the iconoclasm and virtuosity that embodied Star of Indiana is alive and well in Carolina Crown.

Was the DNA drill in Cav's 95 Planets show finals-only as well? I seem to remember hearing that. Sick move.

I'm actually pretty stoked about this show. Heard good noises about PR, SCV & BK drumlines. I'd like to hear a smoking BK line again...

It's not that shameful. Do we have a right to discuss things that are on our minds or not? -Also, no one is predicting "the end" of the Cavaliers. They are predicting that this will be a poor season for them.

Good call on 96 PR. 97 was even better.

1993 Star - every burning snare non-tap roll 1994 BD - Closer 1995 BD - Caribe, esp. tenor break. 1997 BD - Snare accelerando. 1998 SCV- Snare break. Slurred, yet still #### clean. 1999 BD - Split roll betw. snares at the end of the opener. Everyone was splitting things after this. 2000 Cavs- Tenor break 2004 SCV - Drumline break 2006 PR - Opener tie-2008/2010 PR - All of it.

Hall of Fame should be restricted to retired cats only.

Some others not yet mentioned.... 1995 BD - Caribe attack. Frightened me the first time I heard it. 1996 Cadets -Climax of the opener at finals was one of the loudest DCI moments I ever experienced.
