  1. Personally like to thank everyone on the forum for their contributions to this year. It's been an unbelievable weekend filled with incredible performances across the board. I picked a really really good season to drive 500 miles to indianapolis. I'm hooked for life my friends.
  2. Love me some Madison and love me some BK. Crowd doesn't agree apparently.
  3. Yes! You seem like someone I'd want to sit around! Haha. A couple with some old Bridgemen and Star jackets came at sat in front of us before SCV I think, and it all definitely got better. But it got to the point when I would yell something like "YEAH!!", a couple of people would look over and shake their head at me, like it's a problem that I'm too excited about this. Are you serious right now?! If there is anything like this tonight, I'll probably just yell even louder. Maybe they'll go away then.
  4. probably been asked before...but what do fans shout when the crown is formed?
  5. Does it make any sense to sit and hardly ever clap for EVERY corps, let alone look unamused when you're at finals? There were a few small groups of people around me who kept looking over every time I stood up or shouted something. It's pretty upsetting.
  6. I feel like I incidentally got tickets near the regiment block. Mostly everyone around and above me went nuts once phantom walked on. It's cool how Crown and Phantom really set the stage for the remaining three corps. Can't wait for tomorrow night. it's gonna be HUUUGEE.
  7. Phantom makes it all seem right to me. Everyone woke up after them. Unbelievable stuff.
  8. BK and Madison rocked. Both incredibly powerful shows. The crowd up here effing sucks. It seems like the real fans are down in the 100-200 level seats...
  9. http://students.thiel.edu/lbogonovich/phantomform.jpg Please??
  10. I am as well! I bought tickets as part of the Pick 2 promotion in section 444. I think it would make sense to allow the folks who take advantage of the offer are at least given a chance to upgrade their seats if they remain empty over a given period of time.
  11. Way to go Phantom!! AND CADETS!! Things are really starting to get interesting across the board. Can NOT wait for this weekend!!
  12. Hey folks, It's my first time atttending semis and finals this weekend, and I was wondering if any other fans who've been the past couple of years could give me some suggestions for food, shopping, attractions, things to do, etc. to help the experience all the more. Anything not involving drum corps related is preferred (i'm bringing a couple of casual fans...if there is such a thing.) but certainly drum corps related ideas are cool too..just not the parade. prolly can't go to that. Thanks.
  13. Just an FYI to show goers. Don't by the peanuts at the concession stand. 1) they're cashews. Not peanuts. 2) the expiration date is July 23rd.
  14. Get the earplugs ready folks. Academy is next.
  15. interesting scheduling sending BD and Cadets up to Lawrence the night after West Chester, only to go back to A-town two nights later.
  16. BD's show is my favorite by them in recent years. Cadets are undoubtedly my favorite corps this year, and this is easily my favorite show from them ever. Just a fantastic presentation from start to finish. Every year I swear there is no possible way the Cavies can top what they did the year prior. And each year they prove me wrong. The latest drill additions have my jaw even further into the ground. Crown continues to be one of my all time favs. I was a bit skeptical at the start, but the hornline does me in for good. Gotta admire them. PR=favorite corps. Show is #2 to Cadets. This show is classic Regiment. Inspiration through beauty, huge heart. Definitely the show I'm looking most forward to seeing in Indy. I wasn't ever hooked on Madison so much until this year. The closer gets me going too. Great stuff. BK is my sentimental favorite. I'm a sucker for those english folk tunes. Oh, and Academy has a really booming show too.
  17. "In 6th place, with a score.....897.45....SANTACLARAVANGUAAARD".
  18. so, are the cavies lacking or cadets and BD just pushing ahead?
  19. I've gone the past couple of years. First and foremost, GET THERE EARLY. Sometime in the five o'clock hour. Parking always fills up quick. A place to possibly aim for is near the floral shop on west hamilton street..it runs parallel with the stadium. I think parking there was 5 dollars, but it was very convenient, and we never had any problems. And yes, definitely find food before hand. The lines are absolutely insane. As for corps warming up, I'm a huge Phan..so both years I wanted to see them warm up. Phantom usually warms up a little ways down from everyone else, toward the west end of the creek on the hamilton side. SCV was sort of close to them too. But you can walk around anywhere in that creek and find all different corps warming up. It's really cool. I always liked staying out by the creek until the big names showed up too. The bleachers in the stadium are not very comfortable, nor is there very much space at all..so watching all the corps wasn't really my top priority. The atmosphere outside the stadium is awesome, especially when the big names are there. I got to meet Koji Mori a couple of years ago outside of one of Phantom's buses, so i was on cloud nine. I regret it, but I wasn't able to find the corps playing for each other after the show. I would check it out though if you feel like it. All in all, it is an incredible drum corps experience. If I wasn't going to Indy this year, I'd definitely go to A-town. You'll love it.
  20. 1) Cadets 2) Phantom 3) Cavaliers 4) BK 5) Madison 6) Crown 7) SCV 8) Boston 9) The Academy 10) Velvet Knights
  21. OK, so both cavies and cadets added new drill to their closer?
