The people on this thread quite honestly don't seem to know much about Madison, and I find it amusing. I'm appreciative of your comments, especially considering the fact that you are a Boston Crusaders fan, first and foremost. Yet you appreciate Madison's show. It seems like the folks on this thread were behind Madison at the beginning of the season when they were doing so well. Now that they are in 9th place , all of a sudden, they are finding all kinds of ridiculous fault with the corps. All this stuff about needing a more demanding show, being too nostalgic, etc., etc. I would like to say to these people that I think James Mason and the Madison staff know what they are doing. I have not counted the Scouts out. Let's see what happens. If they stay where they are in 9th place, it will be a real travesty. And I agree with you about the Cavaliers...Boston placing behind them is a mystery to me.

This is absolutely revolting. I can't believe how obvious the judges are. It's sickening. I would throw in the towel, except I'm not giving up on the men of Madison.

It is so obvious. Third year in a row that this has happened to the Scouts. I had hoped that DCI might not screw them this year; considering it is their 75th anniversary. But, I guess I had false hopes...like I do at the beginning of every season.

I think they will...and it would sure be nice to see them in the top 7, FOR A CHANGE!

It's the typical B.S. that happens to them every year. They are being totally hosed. Here we go again.

I'm thinking the same thing. The recaps from Atlanta for the Scouts are really questionable...Is DCI getting ready to make their G7 move??? C'mon Scouts...you can do it!

I agree...fans are not necessarily booing the Blue Devils...they are booing the politics and insanity of DCI.

I see the Cavaliers' score from Little Rock put them ahead of the Scouts in the daily standings. In addition, I've checked the schedule and the Scouts don't have a show till Sat. Cavaliers will be at the TOC before the Scouts perform again. By the time the Scouts perform again, the Cavaliers will have, undoubtedly, gone up in score even more. Seems like the Scouts take several rehearsal days right before the Atlanta regional every year. With the rehearsal days, they miss the opportunity for scores to increase. This never has helped them much in the past few years. And I'm concerned that this is going to allow the Cavaliers to move ahead of them. I would hate to see this happen. Any thoughts on this are appreciated.

Anyone who is offended by the ending of the scouts' show clearly doesn't understand the military OR the meaning of the show. The show portrays total respect for the military and our fallen soldiers, and the corps feels allot of emotion when performing this show. Don't get how anyone could be offended. It is touching and powerful. And I agree with the post about watching the James Mason interview if they want to fully understand what he was thinking when creating this show. He is a genius, and the show is beyond words, IMO.

Better late than never, and it is a great review. I agree with your comments about the Scouts. Awesome this year.

Hoping all Madison supporters on this forum read the thank you letter to the Madison Scouts (from a former member of the military)...it is listed as a separate topic under the World Class discussions. This gentleman sums it up. This is an epic show and has touched the hearts of so many of our military personnel...not to mention civilians. I'm so tired of hearing about the top 3 corps...enough! DCI fans...are you not astute enough to recognize the depth and emotion of this program? And judges...I can ask the same about you.

What a nice tribute to Madison. They have a fabulous show, and it is good to know that it is appreciated. Not only that...have you ever encountered any of the members? They are such a polite group. Hoping they score well in Indianapolis.

I'm in total agreement. The Scouts' scores for the past two shows are ridiculous. It is so obvious what DCI and the judges are doing. Come on...it's almost the end of the season. We all know we have to get the Cavaliers up in the standings! I'm sure the Cavaliers are a fine group of men...but they are just not as good as the Scouts this year. And regardless of standings...it doesn't matter. Scouts are just better this year.

I agree. Scouts got a totally ridiculous score last night. I'm so sick to death of DCI and this G7 thing. I can hardly stand to support it anymore. It is unethical. Period, the end. What is this mentality about "paying dues". I've seen comments out here under another topic about how the Scouts were 15th a few years ago, and that they should be glad that they are where they are in the standings. That is a bunch of B.S. A corps shouldn't be judged on where they were in the standings in the past. They should be judged on how well they perform on the field at the time of the judging. The judging is so predictible and so transparent. Order of appearance...same thing...It is B.S. Scouts were at a disadvantage last night to begin with. DCI tries to make it look fair by this drawing straw stuff for the different groupings...but that is anything but fair. If they want to draw straws, then it should be totally random, and the groups of 3 thing should be eliminated.

Their score was only .2 over their last score in Wichita. Their show is light years ahead of the Cavaliers. Show design...it isn't even a contest. And their appearance order tonight definitely affected them. Say what you want about order of appearance...it means everything.

Scouts got screwed tonight.

And TEXAS LOVES THE SCOUTS!!!
