Performance order isn't going to help them tonight. I expect Spirit to pull back ahead tonight. Thursday will be more realistic.

When you only have a show all but one day between regionals and add a new ending it is hard to get a lot of cleaning done. It has been pretty tight between Spirit and Blue stars since Minneapolis, so these scores shouldn't be a complete shock. It will be interesting how this plays out for the rest of the season!!

I disagree. The theme shows up pretty well throughout the show, but it is hard to see some of those things when you aren't watching live.

Almost all of them depending on who you ask! The beauty of drum corps is how passionate the fans are, but it can also be a downfall. When fans of corps A, discredit the successes of corps B, because their corps was beat or lost ground, it reflects poorly on this activity as a whole. There are so many threads on here about how DCI is failing, maybe it is the fans who are failing.

The Blue Stars color guard is usually one of their top scoring sections of the corps, so they will get a boost. Madison also has had good guard scores so far this year, so they will get a boost too. So the corps from Wisconsin!

The Cavaliers said it was just the look for the opening. And they have put up pictures of the members rehearsing with the regular hats on, so I would take a guess and say they will take these robes off and be back to the normal uni.

Don't most corps get their uniforms for free through a sponsorship with the uniform companies? The uniform companies could probably just write the cost off as donations.

One might think that a successful drill writer would give a corps drill that matches their show concept much closer than the Blue Stars were given last year. For a nautical show it sure did have a lot of geometric forms and rotating boxes! You are correct there is only one Myron Rosander and I love what he did with SCV, especially 1999, but his drill for the Blue Stars last year was not good.

If only they were given good drill to march, that made sense and added to the show...not just rehashed stuff from the drill writers previous shows!

I think a better option for Phantom (at least recently) would be pufferfish. It is supposed to be really good, but it might kill you in the end!

I wore glasses for rehearsals, but put contacts in before leaving for a show. Glasses did not work well with a shako!
