My one hope from the visual design team is that we don't see a repeat of 2013 in which there are a bunch of props on the field that the guard has to constantly move around. This was their biggest weakness that kept them out of the running for first place two years ago.

You know, this actually reminds me that from what I've heard, there was a 15-year-old guy named Arjun who was on the Bluecoats' snareline just this past season. I know that doesn't answer your question, but it's pretty cool anyway.

Most of the college marching bands I know of that would be considered corps-style are from FCS and Division II and III schools. I don't think there are a whole lot of FBS schools that are true corps-style bands.

The OSUMB may have lost their head director (not to mention some of their performance rights), but their performance last Saturday proved that their spirit and creativity hasn't died.

Agreed. Also note that Brandt has occasionally announced while the corps is finishing up their opening statement (see: Madison Scouts 2011, which may or may not have been intended).

After last season's rule change, I'm waiting for a corps to do an all-trombone version called "West Slide Story."
