  1. Whoa - Colt Cadets have a kid in the pit who looks about 10!
  2. I gotta give them credit. I don't know if I would have had the guts to go out onto the field with only 4 horns. Can't criticize the kids' drive and passion.
  3. Nice job Saints! We did "Not While I'm Around" in Crossmen in '86. Brought back a lot of memories for me.
  4. That was a terrific show! Very impressed.
  5. I almost never say this about the Cadets, but I just freakin' LOVE this show. Rapidly going to one of my top ten (see what I did there? ) all time favorites. Haven't felt like this about a Cadets show since 2000 (which is one of my top 3 favorite shows of all time).
  6. They're borrowing blooo's electronic sampler
  7. lol - "I don't know why everybody's clapping, we're gonna do it again"
  8. Picking jaw up off the floor. That has got to be one of the best endings in years.
  9. This is kinda similar to the way I felt when I went out for and made Crossmen in '85 to play some cool jazz only to discover later that we were doing a Spanish show.
  10. Hell - if they were pulling THAT much, they could afford Johnny Cochran (or his ghost).
  11. Can you recommend a good one (or a few different ones)?
  12. I'm really rooting for these guys - and not just because they are based 20 minutes from my house and my niece marched with them. The circuit has been in dire need of a corps like this since VK faded into a California sunset.
  13. Gotta give props when they are deserved. The stream last night was almost flawless but for a handful of stutters and once or twice when the resolution dropped briefly. Unlike all the previous streams there were no syncing issues, no freezes and no prolonged lo-res feed. I watched the high camera feed on my big screen TV/home theater sound system via my laptop connected by HDMI. Couldn't ask for more (except maybe DVR and archive, but I'm not gonna open THAT can of worms).
  14. Wish Crossmen would stick Russian in a show one of these years. Maybe for the 50th
  15. This is the one corps that I can forgive for using synth to support the horn line.
  16. I'm a Crossmen alum so I assure you I'm not a hater. I LOVE that they are beginning to move back towards being a solid finalists rather than on the verge every year and will hopefully continue to build into a top-6 corps and eventually (dare I dream) contend for a title in the not-too-remote future. I really wanted to love the show but to me the whole middle section seemed very dull and seemed to be individual segments put together rather than a cohesive work. On the plus side, I don't hate the uniforms anymore
  17. OK - Being a Crossmen homer I really wanted to love this show. Can't say I did. They are talented enough, but to me the whole middle third of it just falls flat and goes nowhere.
  18. Was it me or did every high note the singer tried to hit come out flat?
  19. Me too. That may have been my favorite stadium of all of the pre-Indy venues. Mile High (or whatever the heck it's called now) in Denver was pretty nice too.
  20. Who knows. As screwy as the different copyright laws are, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if there are 2 different laws that apply: 1 for on demand streaming and a different one for scheduled "1 time" broadcast. The whole thing is completely nuts.
  21. There WAS a perfect spot for a yell towards the end of the show - in the same place that they did have the yell in Scheherazade v.1. Just didn't seem to catch on last year. About 1:14 of this video
