  1. I guarantee that section sounds awkward without the singer. The singer adds a nice layer imo
  2. Mike and Genevieve are outstanding and incredibly intelligent in the admin world of drum corps. No doubt these two will lead this corps in a great direction.
  3. So this is my first time ever posting on this channel but I just have a thing or two to say about this show. First off, this is the first BD show that I am absolutely in love with! It just has this nostalgic and modern vibe to it overall. The opening snareline feature sets the tone overall very well. The old voiceovers of "BD stepping onto the field for the first time" sends chills down my spine. That ballad makes me wanna scream and do body rolls. And that closer brings tears to my eyes EVERY SINGLE TIME. I am always that guy who is like "Of course BD's gonna take it all and I hate them for it". But this year I am so happy that this production exists and I would love to see them win this year. Also I've been touring with another group this year (souvies) so I've been able to see them live quite a few times and each time I fall in love even more. I'm sure all of this has been said on here but I just really wanted to post on here for the first time :)
  4. Thanks everyone for the advice! I appreciate and maybe I'll see some of you down the road!
  5. Hey everyone! So this year I'm interning with a world class drum corps (I'm not saying who so that y'all don't harrass me about show info). I'll be one of the merchandising interns and was just wondering if anyone with drum corps experience or interning with a drum corps could give me advice to be successful in my job or on tour in general? I've never been on a drum corps tour before so any insights about things that I wouldn't have thought about before would be a huge help. Thanks!
  6. Has the audio been this quiet especially with brass on dci live for LOS?
  7. I think what they were saying is that the clapping section live was fine, aside from the effects issues. Proper grammar will always provide the best possible communication
  8. I went to a rehearsal a few days ago and got to talk to a few members. I asked about the opener and they said they scrapped the idea. It just wasn't working which is fine because the show is still amazing.
  9. Not sure if there is already a thread but I didn't see one. Also if I started this too early I'm sorry but I'm so flipping excited for this show! I'll be at the show and try to give my thoughts in between shows about how each corps did. I'm right on the 50 yard line with 5 other newbies to DCI so it doesn't get much better than that! Here's the lineup: 7:30 p.m. Welcome & National Anthem 7:40 p.m. The Cavaliers 7:57 p.m. Blue Knights 8:14 p.m. Phantom Regiment 8:31 p.m. Madison Scouts 8:48 p.m. Intermission 9:18 p.m. The Cadets 9:35 p.m. Carolina Crown 9:52 p.m. Santa Clara Vanguard 10:09 p.m. Bluecoats Also for you homers out there don't forget it's a "white-out" so wear white!
  10. There's two different videos of Bluecoats on Youtube from last night.
  11. Is it just the ending or are there more changes throughout the show?
