Won't matter - has nothing to do with music being too hard. Battery is the one of the best in recent memory. They are playing their ***** off. The problem is their placement on the field. They are behind the back hash for a good portion of the show. Now that the sound system is being use to amplify the voices and other sound even more, the battery can't even hope to compete with that volume from where they are located. All the other top 6 corps bring their battery to front sideline multiple times in their shows to highlight them. Cadets park them in the back of the field and expect them to compete with amplified sound of voices, brass, and pit. They should either be moved to the front, especially during the closer when you can't hear them at all or they should be mic'd and balanced with the ensemble. Must be frustrating to be a battery member this year, have great music to play, and not getting credit because of drill location, priority on voices to the detriment of the entire percussion section, and sound management. Has to be frustrating for Tom too.

Great to see these shows in the theater and hear descriptions from the commentators. Loved the part when Dennis said Blooo won percussion, right after reading on the DCI website that recaps would be kept secret from the public. lol

Too bad that kid ruined the surprise. Oh well. Still excited to see it on the field!

Interesting and true. They seem to be working hard at changing the perception. -

Hopefully Cavaliers can regain some of their ground after they are healthy. This is a very unfortunate time for so many to be sick. Give them all some nyquil! -

Hypothetical Cadets Uniform Question

It'll be cool to view Atlanta as their last "big" show with the current look and then Allentown and Indy with the new (temporary) look! -
Hypothetical Cadets Uniform Question

*This Promotion Is ONLY Available Online and is not valid for purchases made at The Cadet OK I'll play the game. Here's my guess based on this picture: black uni, black jacket with neon green stitching and ribbon thread (or whatever that is called - as in the traditional uniform), neon pink cumber bun, and get this, a neon pink stripe down the side of the pants with pink dinkles! hahaha Oh - and a black shako with a pink plume. -

Hypothetical Cadets Uniform Question
HAW replied to seen-it-all's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
And to say it is an 80 year uniform, it seems, is not quite correct. Just a few posts up, someone posted a photo of Cadets in white shorts and white shirts because they didn't have rights to the other uniform at that time - from many years ago. And when they wore jeans with white caps was also not within the so-called 80 year tradition. So if, for a couple weeks of this season, they are in something different, it doesn't change the 80 year tradition because for most of this season, they were in the maroon and gold. -
Oh my!

Was that a Z-pull???

Absolutely. I have convinced many family and friends to just watch a periscope of a few different corps in a few shows and they are not only hooked, but now want to go see it live and in the theater! And they aren't drum corps or even marching band people. Brand new fans of the activity!

Love Academy's show - sucker for Mary Poppins

I guess I can always watch the lady periscoping Evita from somewhere near Atlanta. The little map icon thing shows everyone who's live. I'll wait (and hope) for the little red dot to appear in Huntsville.

For Cadets coloring, not positive, but consider this: Neon is the 10th element in the periodic table. Google Neon images and look at the color scheme. -
Timpani player must have perfect pitch! Beautiful tuning!
