  1. I liked moments in SCV's show. Really need to see it (and see it complete) a few times. Everything now and this next week is just first impressions. Mandarins get my vote for #1 last night (even though I know the scores already).
  2. Good point. I think I'd rather see the guard in white and the corps in the purple. You know, because purple is one of those classic Vanguard colors.😀
  3. Nice show. Very anxious to see it in person. For me, the vocals can be tossed.
  4. Watching the re-broadcast. It will take a lot for me to stop wishing the Mandarins' vocal time had been devoted to some horn solos. Couldn't get into The Academy show. I'm doing spreadsheet work, too. That's probably it. (But Mandarins pulled me away for their whole show.) I think SCV is lining up. Or it's a Tide commercial
  5. Me, too. Overdone. But mostly: It just has no impact on me.
  6. I think I like them. But I’ll wait to see on the field.
  7. Not at all a bad thing for OSU to do. But it is definitely make-fun worthy.
  8. Thanks for that info. It still seems like something DCI can control and better frame. And then how is Ford Field in Detroit is worthy of Fathom and theater and the Rose Bowl isn't? Maybe there are more technicalities I don't understand. I'm still asserting that this is silly thinking from DCI.
  9. All this sounds familiar. Like from every late June/early July. Patience young (and old) grasshoppers.
  10. Why is this the "tour premier" and not San Diego or Rose Bowl? Isn't it blatantly disingenuous of the West Coast corps to keep the tour premier moniker for a show that happens after three competitive nights in CA?
  11. You cheer them on loyally, not demanding that others think the same way and then getting hurt when they don't. For me, 2019 changed my attitude a bit. I wanted The Cavaliers to medal, but that show was so enjoyable – so powerful, too – it made me realize I'll gladly take something that actually moves me over a particular placing.
  12. I'm clueless about the scores. But the order seems right. Maybe kind of interesting to me to see where Blue Stars, Phantom, and Boston end up relative to each other. I'd say Bluecoats and Cavaliers definitely. Then Crossmen definitely. Mapped the driving route to Detroit! Inside a week now.
