Really excited about the new uniforms. Definitely keeping with the Cavalier identity while bringing it forward into this new "costuming" trend in DCI.

I'm sure the number one priority for member corps when talking about releasing information is "When can we do this so that DCP will have stuff to talk about on the internet? Man I bet those people are getting tired of not having anything to discuss..."

I haven't read the whole thread yet, but Cavaliers 2005 didn't really have a "ballad" in it. There was a couple of slow transitions into the "ballad" but the "ballad" was the fire section was pretty aggressive.

We were originally going to do some music from the Terminator movies (first draft Ballad was pretty much an arrangement), but then we decided to do mostly original. The 2nd jazzy sounding movement is "Church Renewing Vows" by Wynton Marsalis.

Well the "never" loud part is just wrong. 04, and 05 and the end of 03 come to mind...

Erik posted earlier in this thread. He's been on staff there for a few years. Also, many percussion teachers are becoming experts in this as they need this knowledge for their own programs.

I'm a Cavalier Alum and I spent 9 hours in the Alamodome last Saturday. I didn't go to a tailgate, I barely saw people I knew or marched with, and I enjoyed every show I saw (which was all of them, yes even Soundsport). There is a Cavalier Alum Facebook Page and most of the members on it (that are close enough) go to at least one show a year. And nobody watches TV anymore, streaming is the now.

Agreed. As an FMM of The Cavaliers, and still very much in contact with many of the Admin and Staff of the Corps, no one has ever said they were supporting Hillary. It was all just examples of propaganda. And yes, there is a Trump/Bernie/Cruz/etc banner out there as well.

Because the music is cool? That's why.
