  1. Apparently Blue Stars have had 12 people go home due to injury or quitting since the season started
  2. Am I in the minority in thinking these preshows need to stop?
  3. exactly that. proof that you can't hold up your horn :( altho it definitely sounded like the whole hornline was gassed by the end. great show tho!
  4. Blue Stars brought it tonight! Haven't seen them live yet, but definitely best video performance I've seen!

  6. Great review! It's nice to have a very knowledgeable review and not one full of blatant, biased, unbridled hate towards a corps. We need more like this. THANK YOU!
  7. You mean faster than these one night stands they're having with these low 90s scores?
  8. I'll be quite honest. I don't care who's face it is....that's terrifying Ok I lie, I'll be ok with Olivia Wilde's face
  9. Truly great corps don't need warm up time. ever
  10. I just have to say that the crowd at Hattiesburg was my absolute favorite crowd in the South the 2 years I performed at that show. On their feet for every corps and even cheered in places you don't normally get cheers. Just all around great crowd! I always dedicated my performances there to Brett Favre...
  11. Neither am I! Blue Devils "C" body slams their "big brother" FTW! If I'm not mistaken, they're the only corps to go undefeated in their entire history
  12. Not bad. Definitely can't wait to see them in person. Personally, I think they should bring back the white uniforms! Those were so comfortable!
  13. Matt Stewart (or Steward). He was the other screamer for BD in 2002 besides the Jeff Lynn Show. But yea, that was one of those dog whistle notes. Apparently at one point in the 2005 season, Scott Dean had something like 8-10 Double Cs. But they had to take some of them out because judges said they were "losing their effect" after the first 6 or so.
  14. No posting either! jk jk seriously tho, INT deserves our FULL attention
  15. Blue Devils have the one stripe down the left leg. Other than that I don't know too many other corps marching with the stripe. I think it looks best with the Cadets because they teach straight leg technique and actually pull it off. It's the straightness of the stripe during marching that's appealing. If a corps has a bent knee technique and a stripe, I don't think people would think it's as aesthetically pleasing
  16. In 2004 didn't East Coast Jazz finish their finals performance and ignored the event staff trying to stop them with about a minute left in the show?
  17. And '07 in response to '06. Blue Devils have been the most consistent corps this half of the decade.....or since the last half of the last decade, however you view it. Unless a corps rises up and can consistently compete with them, you've gotta say Blue Devils any given year. But especially this year
  18. That was also back when people thought no one could touch Crown this season One year out of how many years of wishful thinking? A very good year tho, definitely took something that special to overthrow the Devs
  19. is a 0.2 lead insurmountable? definitely not. but regardless, it'll be a pretty good fight to the finish! some great lines being put out this year!
  20. As a person who started his drum corps career in a 13 (yes, that's right 13) member hornline and eventually ended up in 2 Jim Ott winning hornlines, I definitely endorse and recommend checking out Open Class I don't think people realize how many people in World Class come from here and how many people choose to STAY and ageout in Open Class. There's equally as much hard work put in by the kids and love getting to perform in front of a crowd. It's not fun when there are literally more judges in the stands than fans (it happened to me). And plus I think tickets are only $25 or so
