  1. After Div. 2/3 finals, how many corps get to move onto Div. 1 prelims? Also, are the Div. 2/3 corps than move on under any obligation to compete as Div. 1 corps the next year? Just curious because I can't remember the rules.
  2. Tough question, if I had to pick just one, it'd be SCV 99.
  3. I understand the idea behind the proposal, but it is "fantasy" and those shows make things interesting and unique.
  4. Would this include not having shows such as the Frozen North, Pacific Rim Championship, etc.? If so, I'm not in favor of this proposal.
  5. The maximum number of shows a junior corps can perform in will be raised from 28 to 30 shows a season. Rationale: This allows for more performance opportunities for corps. In addition, total bonus points that a corps can receive in a season will be rounded off to an even 6, instead of 5.6 points that corps receive currently. Submitted by Shadow Mountain Marauders
  6. Haha, I sarted drinking on teh palne....... :mmm: :mmm: :mmm:
  7. It depends on how many shows I go to in a summer. If I only go to one or two shows, I will stay in the stands and watch performaces. If I go to more shows than that, I start to spend a lot of time in the parking lot. My favorite parking lot memory is when BD played their Star Wars warm-up on finals night in 02. It was freaking loud!!!!
  8. Twilight, from Anchorage, Alaska, is excited about their second full season. Twilight plans on competeing as a full Division II corps this summer. However, about 3 weeks before the being of the season the corps will be moving operations and practice facilities down to California so the corps can better maxamize their rehersal time. The majority of our staff has been retained from the summer. Brass, percussion, colorguard, and visual caption heads are all remaining the same. We will have a new drill writer this summer. The corps has secured endorsement deals from Yamaha. Yamaha will be providing all of our brass instruments, battery equipment, and the majority of our pit percussion. With more revenue available to the corps, the board of directors approved the purchase 3 member buses and a staff bus. Vast improvements were also made to the food and equipment trailers. Be on the lookout for the debut of the new Twilight webpage in the next few weeks. And without further ado, our 2005/2006 winter program: The Best of Buddy -Apples -Love for Sale -God Bless the Child -Norwegian Wood -Sassy Strut
  9. The adagio from Saint-Saens Organ Symphony. Radio from the Terminator 3 soundtrack.
  10. Like everyone as already said, it's where the judges are. In addition, it is easier to clean a show and stay together as an ensemble when everything isn't spread out over the field
  11. SCV had plenty of "wow" moments in 1999 and 2000.
  12. It would be nice to see DCP-I returned to Oklahoma next year. And since corps are already in Alaska for Frozen North, maybe have another show or two up there.
  13. Fear Factor -The Cavaliers have to march to the form and not to the dot.

  17. 3rd place and no caption changes! Any decision on if DCP-A will continue in the winter?
  18. I don't think that has ever happened. Phantom Regiment '96 was the first corps to tie for first after being behind in semis.
  19. I enjoyed it. A step up in broadcast quality if you ask me, congradulations to Tom Blair and Co. for putting on a great product. Congratulations for DCI to getting our activity in primetime on a major network. Maybe as the years go by we will get more show and less behind-the-scences stuff, but we will never get the whole top 12 in one broadcast I don't think.
  20. I was a music major when I marched, but I'm not anymore.
