  1. The Tulsa show went ok, but I didn't get there until right before Madison. I was glad to see that the theatre was mostly full, a few empty seats here and there. There were a few problems with the feed during Crown and Cadets, and the audio could've been cranked up a little bit. The fire alarm started going off during Bluecoats show, I wasn't about to leave my seat until they turned off the screen or had someone come into the theatre and tell me to leave. Luckily the fire alarm stopped after a minute or so, and the show was able to go on. Phantom was my favorite corps of the night. I'm glad to see SCV coming on strong this week, and sadden to see that perhaps Bluecoats might have peaked already. Overall, I was impressed with the whole broadcast.
  2. Hopefully the Colts can find a way to slide into finals. But I think Phantom would be the dark horse to look out for this weekend.
  3. I'll be there, probably with my wife. I still haven't purchased tickets though......
  4. The high in and around Broken Arrow today was 103, so hopefully all the corps stayed hydrated throughout the day. Unfortunately I didn't get to go to the show tonight because I had to work.... :(
  5. I figured some corps would be. One of the biggest high school stadiums in the state, it'd be a good place to practice.
  6. Cadets - Broken Arrow High School - July 19 Southwind - BA South Intermediate - July 19 Crossmen - Bixby High School - July 18 and 19 Blue Stars - Catoosa High School - July 19 Glassmen - Coweta High School - July 19 Capital Regiment - BA Oliver Middle School - July 19 Colts - Claremore High School - July 19 Seattle Cascade - Glenpool High School - July 18 and 19 I live next door to Southwind's housing site. I can literally see the football field from my back yard.
  7. I was on the field performing with Union that fateful night. If I recall correctly, we were 6th or 7th place going into Finals, and dropped on 10th because of "on the field performance" issues. The Cadets shouldn't be getting any special treatment, there that been plenty of other corps that have had "performance issues" and still released the recording. I think it's time something is done to the judging system so that scores properly reflect malfunctioning amps, electronics, etc.
  8. Things have been quiet out of the Marauders' camp this spring, however things have been running smoothly. The director/tour manager got married on June 3 and neglected to file the proper paperwork with the DCP-I office before leaving for his honeymoon. Luckily, the executive directors reminded him of his error after he returned from his honeymoon. This summer, the Shadow Mountain Marauders program will simply be entitled "III" and will feature Camille Saint-Saens Organ Symphony. The corps will be debuting their show before family and friends tomorrow night at Union High School in Tulsa, OK before heading down to Laredo, TX for their first show on June 18. After the Marauders' home show on June 22, the corps will head out for a brief stop in California before setting off on a tour of the Pacific Rim. In the past the corps competed in the North Regional, however this season the Marauders will make an apperance at the South Regional. The July and August tour schedule will be highlighted with appearances in Mexico City, the Preview of Champions in Provo, Utah, and Drums Along the Rockies. Good luck to all the corps this summer!
  9. If VK was still around..... "On the field, performing their 2006 program, Dreamscapes: Three Doors with a Zone, the Velvet Knights!!!!"
  10. Cavies... didn't "wow" me like in previous years.
  11. I've got tickets for Quaters, Semis, and Finals I need to sell because I can't go anymore. Section E, Row 68, Seats 33 and 34 for all three nights. PM me if interested.
  12. Any decision on whether or not the senior circuit will return for the live season?
  13. The European Championships should be a very interesting contest!
  14. nice! Can't wait to see what that sounds like in August ^0^
  15. I voted 2000, one of my all time favorite shows 1998, 2002, and 1995 were all close seconds.
  16. Would it be ready in time for a regional or other show that same summer?
  17. It's a sweet deal for DCI. Maybe they could work out a two for one deal, two years in Indy and one year elsewhere. Or prehaps a 4 or 5 year rotation like other have suggested. It'll be a hard deal for DCI to pass up.
  18. No particular order.... BD 1986 BD 2000 Bluecoats 2004 Cadets 2000 Cavaliers 2004 PR 1996 PR 2003 SCV 1999 SCV 2000 Star 1993
  19. The Shadow Mountain Youth Organization has some spare buses available if Star needs to use one or two until a more permanent solution can be found.
