Remember the extra stands in the end zone? How about concert side was the other side of the field. I remember 1973 (I think) A class prelims were at another high school out in the sticks.

As long as fuel is being bought from other countries to help their efforts, we'll have to pay high prices to assist the other countries in doing bad things

Elite corps started DCI with no care about the A/B/All-Girls corps! What corps are still alive today? Elite corps! How many corps folded up the tents when DCI formed or within the first 10 years?

That Brian Flores suit will probably fade away. The "Archaic" system must have worked because we had hundred plus more corps in North America back then.

My opinion ...... Whatever the organization is, they should take total control! Don't let designers and directors decide what is judged. Think about selling to the fans as well as bring in new fans. ENTERTAINMENT!!!! The organization should have final say on what staff members are being hired by each corps, thorough background in vestigation on ALL staff members and volunteers for ALL corps. That's just some ideas

I think a new organization needs to be created. Entertain the audience first! I love what Bluecoats have been doing the past few years. Vince Bruni had it right when he started up The Empire Statesmen! BTW I was not a member of them but respected their idea of entertaining.

Will there be enough corps? Will the year really happen?

Is DCI run by DCI or by the Corps (Directors)? The problems are with the individual corps. Does the DCI organization have any control over the individual corps? If not, why ask for anyone's resignation from DCI? I think it's really to late and this will fester in the next month. I was getting new eyeglasses the other day and the woman who waited on me has a son auditioning for a top 5 corps and she knows all about this. People are talking and it does not look well.

Maybe it's time to bring ALL of drum corps together (DCI and DCA) and put a NEW organization together and address these issues so that the negativity can be fixed!

In 1975 DCI was quick to DQ Muchachos for overage members but how quick have they been to deal with the more serious issues that have risen in DCI lately? So is overage a more important issue than abuse? Hmmmmm

Why yes I did! Months before the season starts. Sooooooo I predict that the 2022 competitive season will not happen. Actually I think that due to all the garbage happening in some corps, that are now public, I bet many young people will pass on marching corps. As a teacher, I will recommend my students not participate until DCI and the individual corps can clean up their act.

So I know what I said would bring a response like this, but I DO KNOW! I won't go into detail as it involves a family member and I did ask "Why didn't you report it?" It was back in the 1950's and no one would have done anything. The same could be said about the 1970's and 1980's. Fortunately people are opening up and some suffer consequences. I know why they waited!
