  1. After watching this show Saturday, When the David character climbs the prop the giant is laying on near the end, he should reach over and rip his head off. They could have a fake head the giant wears that would have red streamers coming out of the bottom when it is ripped off so the champion can hold it up in triumph as the show closes.
  2. right and if you notice what I said any good ranking would use head to head and common opponents in this season based on spreads. nothing that has happened yet this year lends itself to a prediction of crown over bluecoats. the only thing that does is current score, which is irrelevant from different contests with unlike opponents, so really the only factor that truly can be used to compare those two right now is head to head and spreads over common opponents. This ranking system just seems more like wishful thinking than analysis of what is actually happening in the season.
  3. not sure how your rankings can place Crown over Bluecoats. they've met once and bluecoats beat them. then Bluecoats beat Cadets on Saturday by 4.55. sunday crown beat Cadets by just under 4 points. Based on head to head and most recent spreads against common corps Bluecoats should be at least .5 ahead of Crown Your Algorithm makes no sense unless you are using relative spreads and not just latest scores cause scores vary based on the competition you see.
  4. After seeing their dress rehearsal video I knew this show had legs. I called the upset over Madison last night about 3 days ago in the prediction thread. Way to go spirit. Nice to see you back in the hunt
  5. you could put an average score column (saw average the last 5 or so scores from each corps and then rank them by that average or something, then the listing would be in a somewhat placement order and the comparisons would be easier to see
  6. interesting, detroit is midwest but Akron and cincinnati are east?
  7. I saw their dress rehearsal video. the show looks good, if they can clean it up they can move up this year. looks like a good vehicle
  8. I was so close to nailing this perfectly. 1 perfect score and the rest no more than .7 off

  12. you mean the platform with the drumset on top of it?
  13. So it looks like they are sticking with the design that was unveiled a while back. makes sense since they probably had already paid for them and they were being produced
  14. actually, the vocals BD did in 2005 (Yowza Yowza Yowza) were live and performed by a pit member. I thought they sounded the best of all the voice work done to that point.
  15. first meeting of the west coast and east coast corps, now we will see how the scores line up based on Blue and SCV's spread
  16. actually no, SCV & Phantom meet Bluecoats tonight in Rockford for the first east meets west meetup
  17. actually it is the Bloophbaris who put the stage together, and they wear blue hard hats not the bowlers during construction and tear down
  18. on July 7th East meets West for the first time in Rockford when Phantom and SCV go against Bluecoats. Based on the spreads from this show we should get an idea of how the east and west corps all line up
  19. How has Bluecoats surprised with their percussion? they were 2nd last year, not much of a surprise to see them being one of the top units again this year
